2013 NBA Draft

Hawks Acquire Cunningham, No. 16 Pick

11:25pm: The Mavs confirmed this deal via press release, as it was reported: Cunningham, the 16th pick (Nogueira), and the 44th pick (Mike Muscala) in exchange for the 18th pick (Shane Larkin).

9:05pm: This deal is "still evolving," according to Broussard (via Twitter), so we'll have to wait and see if any of the previously reported details change, or if any new pieces are added.

8:46pm: Pick No. 44 is actually heading from Dallas to Atlanta in the deal, tweets ESPN.com's Chris Broussard.

8:13pm: Minutes after acquiring the No. 16 pick from the Celtics, the Mavericks will flip it to the Hawks, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports (via Twitter). Jared Cunningham will also go to Atlanta in the deal, with the 18th and 44th picks headed to Dallas, Wojnarowski reports (via Twitter). Atlanta doesn't have the 44th pick, so perhaps Woj means No. 47 or 50.

The move clears a little more money from the Mavericks' books, as Cunningham's $1,208,400 salary will be assumed by the Hawks. That'll give Dallas a little more room to squeeze in a maximum-salary offer for Dwight Howard.

The Hawks will use the 16th pick to draft international big man Lucas Nogueira.

Heat To Acquire James Ennis

11:19pm: A future second-round pick will be sent to Atlanta in the deal, tweets Joseph Goodman of the Miami Herald.

11:12pm: The Heat have agreed to acquire 50th overall pick James Ennis from the Hawks, tweets Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports (via Twitter). Wojnarowski doesn't include the details of what Atlanta gets in the deal, but I'd assume it will be cash.

Celtics To Acquire Colton Iverson

After being selected 53rd overall by the Pacers, Colton Iverson will be sent to the Celtics in exchange for cash, reports Andy Katz of ESPN.com (via Twitter).

On a night when they appear to have agreed to a much larger deal, the Celtics added a pair of bigs in Iverson and Gonzaga's Kelly Olynyk.

Trail Blazers To Acquire Allen Crabbe

After being drafted 31st overall by the Cavaliers, Allen Crabbe will be sent to the Trail Blazers, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com (Twitter link). The Cavs will receive a pair of future second-round picks from Portland, reports Goodman (via Twitter).

Celtics Acquire Kelly Olynyk

9:30pm: This trade is now official. After acquiring the 16th pick, the Mavs flipped it in a second deal with the Hawks.

7:59pm: The Celtics have acquired the No. 13 pick from the Mavericks and used it to draft Kelly Olynyk, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports (Twitter links). Dallas will receive this year's No. 16 pick and two future second-rounders from Boston, according to Wojnarowski (via Twitter).

The Mavericks had been considered a near-lock to trade the 13th pick in an effort to clear the cap hold and create more room to pursue Dwight Howard. Now that the team has the 16th pick, we'll have to see if another trade is coming, or if Dallas uses that selection to choose a draft-and-stash prospect.

As for the Celtics, since they gave up two second-rounders to move up three spots, presumably they expected the Timberwolves or Bucks to select the Gonzaga big man at 14th or 15th overall. If not, perhaps those two future picks are heavily protected, making the cost to move up small.

Jazz To Acquire Rudy Gobert

The Nuggets will draft Rudy Gobert with the 27th overall pick, but will send him to the Jazz. Benjamin Hochman of the Denver Post first reported (via Twitter) the pick and the trade, while Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com added the Nuggets' trade partner (via Twitter). According to Hochman (via Twitter), Denver will receive cash and the 46th overall pick in the deal.

Draft Updates: Raptors, Bucks, Mavs, Cavs

As the first round continues to roll along in Brooklyn, let's round up a few odds and ends from draft night….

  • The Raptors "went hard" after the 13th overall pick, according to Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun (via Twitter). However, it doesn't look like the Raps will be trading into the draft now, says Wolstat (via Twitter).
  • The Bucks don't intend to stash Giannis Antetokounmpo overseas, according to Ken Berger of CBSSports.com, who says (via Twitter) that Milwaukee will bring the "Greek Freak" stateside immediately.
  • The Mavericks intend to keep No. 18 pick Shane Larkin, tweets Chris Mannix of SI.com. Dallas wanted to avoid the cap hold attached to a first-round pick, but that cap hold was made marginally smaller by the move down from No. 13. The team also shed some salary by sending Jared Cunningham to Atlanta.
  • A source tells Sam Amico of FOX Sports Ohio that Cavaliers GM Chris Grant's "need to fleece teams in trades has cost him tonight" (Twitter link). Although they were rumored to be discussing a ton of deals, the Cavs haven't been active so far tonight.

Mid-Draft Rumors: Noel, 76ers, Warriors, Suns

You can follow tonight's draft picks right here, but we're hearing plenty of other rumblings outside of the picks themselves. Let's round up a few….

  • One executive whose team passed on Nerlens Noel told Chris Broussard of ESPN.com (Twitter link) that the Kentucky big man is actually healthier than Anthony Bennett or Alex Len, so injury concerns weren't the reason Noel slipped.
  • The blockbuster trade the Sixers made, acquiring Noel and a 2014 first-rounder for Jrue Holiday, signals one reason the team hasn't hired a coach yet, tweets Broussard. With a rebuild seemingly on the way, the 76ers wanted a new head coach to know what he was getting into.
  • The Warriors are receiving calls on Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes, but value both players "very, very, very highly," according to Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News (via Twitter).
  • The Suns drafted Alex Len to keep him, and have no deals in place, tweets Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports (via Twitter).
  • A Luke Ridnour/Ekpe Udoh swap between the Timberwolves and Bucks won't happen tonight, tweets Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN Twin Cities.
  • The Cavs are in the process of trying to move up from No. 19, tweets Sam Amico of FOX Sports Ohio.
