Here are Tuesday’s G League assignments and recalls from around the NBA:

The Spurs have recalled Lonnie Walker from the Austin Spurs, per the team’s website. The No. 18 overall pick from this year’s draft has seen action in seven NBA games this season.
The Clippers are sending three players to their G League affiliate. Jerome Robinson, Sindarius Thornwell, and Johnathan Motley, who’s on a two-way deal, will go to to the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario, per Los Angeles’ Twitter feed.
Tony Bradley is headed to the Salt Lake City Stars, as the Jazz announced on their Twitter feed. The assignment will be Bradley’s 11th of the season.
The Hornets have assigned Dwayne Bacon and Devonte’ Graham to the Greensboro Swarm, per the team’s Twitter feed.
The Warriors have recalled Jacob Evans from the Santa Cruz Warriors, according to the team’s website. The No. 28 overall selection from the 2018 draft has played in 23 games for Golden State this season.
The Grizzlies have assigned Jevon Carter to the Memphis Hustle, according to the team’s Twitter feed.

Here are Monday’s G League assignments and recalls from around the NBA:

The Spurs assigned rookie guard Lonnie Walker IV to the Austin Spurs, according to a team press release. In 24 games with Austin, Walker IV is averaging 16.0 PPG, 2.8 RPG and 1.8 APG in 26.9 MPG. The first-round draft pick has appeared in seven games with San Antonio, averaging 2.0 PPG in 8.4 MPG.
The Thunder assigned rookie guard Hamidou Diallo to the Oklahoma City Blue, according to a team press release. The second-round pick has appeared in 46 games for the Thunder, averaging 4.1 PPG in 11.2 MPG. In two games with the Blue, the Kentucky product is averaging 21.0 PPG and 7.0 RPG.

Here are Saturday’s G League assignments and recalls from around the NBA:

The Timberwolves recalled Robert Covington from their Iowa affiliate, the team announced on Twitter. Covington, who is recovering from a bone bruise on his right knee, has already been ruled out of tomorrow’s game against the Wizards.
The Spurs recalled first-round pick Lonnie Walker from Austin, according to a press release. After suffering a meniscus tear in the preseason, Walker has appeared in just six NBA games, but is averaging 16.0 PPG in 20 games with Austin.
The Clippers recalled first-round pick Jerome Robinson from Agua Caliente, the team tweeted.
The Grizzlies recalled Jevon Carter from the Memphis Hustle.
The Hornets tweeted that they assigned Dwayne Bacon to the Greensboro Swarm so he could play in tonight’s game against Long Island.

G League Assignments/Recalls: 2/22/19

Here are Friday’s assignments and recalls from around the NBA G League:

In a rare move by an NBA veteran, Sixers big man Amir Johnson was granted a request to play for the Delaware Blue Coats on Friday in order to get some playing time, according to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer. Philadelphia will recall Johnson in time for its game against Portland on Saturday. Johnson was in the rotation earlier in the season but hasn’t seen the court since January 26.
The Magic assigned rookie guard Melvin Frazier Jr. to Lakeland, the team’s PR department tweets. The second-round pick appeared in Orlando’s last four games before the All-Star break but didn’t go longer than five minutes.
The Spurs assigned first-round pick Lonnie Walker IV to the Austin Spurs, according to a team press release. Walker IV has seen action in 20 games with Austin, averaging 16.2 PPG in 27.3 MPG. He’s played in six games with San Antonio.
The Hornets assigned forward Dwayne Bacon and rookie guard Devonte’ Graham to the Greensboro Swarm, according to a team press release. Bacon has played in 25 NBA games this season and 12 more with the Swarm. He’s averaging 20.4 PPG and 7.5 RPG in 32.4 MPG at the G League level. Graham has seen action in 31 games with the Hornets and eight with the Swarm. He’s averaging 21.3 PPG and 5.0 APG in 33.1 MPG for Greensboro.
The Pacers assigned rookie forward Alize Johnson to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, according to a team press release. The second-round pick has played 11 NBA games this season. He’s averaging 19.2 PPG and 13.6 RPG in 36.9 MPG over 25 games with Fort Wayne.
The Heat recalled forward Emanuel Terry from the Sioux Falls Skyforce, according to a team press release. Miami signed Terry, who has averaged 15.3 PPG and 8.9 RPG in 10 games with the Skyforce, to a 10-day contract on Wednesday.

The Spurs have announced that they’ve recalled Lonnie Walker IV from their affiliate in Austin in a press release on their website. Walker is averaging 16.2 points per game in 20 contests with the G League squad.

Here are Friday’s assignments and recalls from around the NBA G League:

The Pistons assigned power forward Henry Ellenson to the Grand Rapids Drive, according to a team press release. In six games with the Drive, Ellenson is averaging 19.7 PPG, 11.8 RPG, 3.0 APG and 1.2 BPG. The 2016 first-round pick has only appeared in two games with Detroit this season.
The Spurs assigned rookie forward Chimezie Metu and rookie guard Lonnie Walker IV to the Austin Spurs, according to a team press release. They’ll play against the Long Island Nets on Friday. In 17 games with Austin, Metu is averaging 14.2 PPG and 7.6 RPG. He’s appeared in 21 San Antonio games. Walker IV has seen action in 19 games with Austin, averaging 15.9 PPG, 3.1 RPG and 1.6 APG. He’s seen action in four Spurs games.
The Cavaliers assigned guard Kobi Simmons to the Canton Charge, the team announced in a press release. Simmons has seen action in 31 games with the Charge this season, posting averages of 16.7 PPG and 4.0 RPG. He signed a 10-day contract with Cleveland on January 27.

Southwest Notes: Pelicans, Grizzlies, Walker, Rockets

It’s certainly hard to build playoff contenders in the NBA on a regular basis, but the Pelicans have failed to have much meaningful playoff success throughout Anthony Davis‘ career.

As Martin Rogers writes for USA Today Sports, if Davis does indeed leave in the near future, the Pelicans have no one to blame but themselves due to struggles in constructing a competitive team around him.

Pelicans GM Dell Demps has certainly tried to make significant moves to build a contender around Davis, most notably the Pelicans’ trade for DeMarcus Cousins two seasons ago.

Here are Saturday’s assignments and recalls from around the NBA G League:

The Spurs recalled forward Chimezie Metu and guard Lonnie Walker from their Austin affiliate, the team announced in a press release. Metu is posting a 14.2/7.5/2.2 line in 17 G League contests, while Walker is at 15.9/3.1/1.5 in 19 games with Austin.
The Nuggets assigned rookie forward Jarred Vanderbilt to the G League, according to a tweet from the team. Because Denver doesn’t have a direct G League affiliate, Vanderbilt will join the Delaware Blue Coats. A second-round pick this year, Vanderbilt has played just one NBA game.

NBA G League Assignments/Recalls: 1/25/19

Here are Friday’s assignments and recalls from around the NBA G League:

The Wizards assigned guard Gary Payton II to the Capital City Go Go, the team’s PR department tweets. He’ll play against Grand Rapids on Friday. Payton signed a 10-day contract with the Wizards on Monday. He appeared in 13 G League games with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers this season, posting a 19.2/8.2/6.6 line.
The Spurs assigned rookies Lonnie Walker IV and Chimezie Metu to the Austin Spurs, Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express News tweets. They’ll play against Rio Grande on Friday. Walker, the 18th overall pick, hasn’t appeared in an NBA game since January 3rd. Metu, the team’s second-rounder, has only appeared in one Spurs game since December 13th.

Here are Sunday’s NBA G League assignments and recalls from across the league:

The Magic have recalled rookie wing Melvin Frazier from their G League affiliate, according to a tweet from the team’s PR department. Frazier has appeared in just 3 games for the Magic so far this season.
The Rockets have assigned center Isaiah Hartenstein to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, according to Jonathan Feigen of The Houston Chronicle. This was done ahead of the team’s expected signing of Kenneth Faried on Monday.
The Trail Blazers announced in a press release that they have recalled Wade Baldwin and assigned both Anfernee Simons and Gary Trent to the G League.
The Spurs have recalled rookies Lonnie Walker and Chimezie Metu from their G League affiliate in Austin, according to Tom Orsborn of The San Antonio Express (via Twitter).
