Bucks Signing Iverson Molinar

The Bucks are signing Iverson Molinar, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic (Twitter link).

In 34 games (34.1 MPG) as a junior for Mississippi State last season, the Panamanian guard averaged 17.5 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 3.6 APG and 1.2 SPG on .454/.252/.868 shooting. For his efforts, he earned a berth on the All-SEC First Team.

Molinar is ranked 29th on ESPN’s list of the top undrafted rookies, and was the 85th-ranked prospect heading into the draft.

The terms of Molinar’s agreement are unclear, but if it’s an Exhibit 10 deal, it’ll be a non-guaranteed, minimum-salary contract that could be converted into a two-way deal before the regular season begins. A player on an Exhibit 10 contract is also eligible for a bonus worth up to $50K if he’s waived and then becomes an affiliate player for his team’s G League squad.

Kings, Jeriah Horne Agree To Deal

The Kings have reached a contract agreement with undrafted rookie free agent Jeriah Horne, agent Daniel Hazan tells Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports (Twitter link).

Horne had a well-traveled college career, starting at Nebraska before transferring to Tulsa following his freshman year. He spent two years at Tulsa, transferred to Colorado, then headed back to the Golden Hurricane for his “super-senior” season.

The 6’7″ forward averaged 16.1 points and 6.9 rebounds in 31 games (33.9 MPG) in 2021/22, posting an impressive shooting line of .444/.415/.838.

It’s unclear what Horne’s deal will look like, but generally when a team reaches a contract agreement with an undrafted rookie at this time of year and the terms aren’t reported, it ends up being an Exhibit 10 contract. Exhibit 10 deals, which are non-guaranteed, can be converted into two-way contracts before the regular season begins and also make a player eligible for a bonus of up to $50K if he’s waived and then joins his team’s G League affiliate.

Sixers To Sign Aminu Mohammed, Michael Foster Jr.

The Sixers have reached an agreement with undrafted Georgetown guard Aminu Mohammed, league sources tell Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports (Twitter link). According to Haynes, Mohammed will sign an Exhibit 10 contract with Philadelphia.

Mohammed spent just one year in college, but made an impact for the Hoyas, averaging 13.7 PPG, 8.2 RPG, and 1.6 SPG in 31 games (32.2 MPG). He struggled to score efficiently, however, shooting just 37.9% from the floor, including 31.0% on three-pointers.

Meanwhile, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic (Twitter link), the 76ers have also struck a deal with another notable undrafted rookie, having agreed to sign Michael Foster Jr.

Foster, a forward who played for the G League Ignite in 2021/22, is the No. 3 prospect on ESPN’s list of undrafted rookies. The former five-star recruit recorded 14.8 PPG, 8.8 RPG, 2.0 APG, and 1.9 BPG in 13 games (29.8 MPG) for the Ignite.

The terms of Foster’s agreement are unclear, but if it’s an Exhibit 10 deal like Mohammed’s, it’ll be a non-guaranteed minimum-salary contract that could be converted into a two-way deal before the regular season begins. A player on an Exhibit 10 contract is also eligible for a bonus worth up to $50K if he’s waived and then becomes an affiliate player for his team’s G League squad.

Thunder To Sign Jaden Shackelford To Exhibit 10 Deal

The Thunder are signing Alabama guard Jaden Shackelford to an Exhibit 10 contract, Ben Creider of Sports Illustrated tweets. The contract agreement was confirmed by Shackleford’s agent, Adie von Gontard, JD Shaw of Hoops Rumors tweets.

Shackelford himself posted a “Thank you Thunder, let’s work!” tweet.

Shackelford, 21, averaged 16.6 PPG and 5.4 RPG while making 35.7% of his 3-point attempts for the Crimson Tide last season. The 6’3” guard averaged 15.2 PPG in 97 career games with Alabama.

An Exhibit 10 is a one-year, non-guaranteed minimum-salary contract that counts toward a team’s 20-man offseason roster limit, but doesn’t count against the cap unless the player makes the regular season roster.

A player on an Exhibit 10 contract can earn a bonus of up to $50K if he’s waived and then joins his team’s G League affiliate.

Grizzlies, Keve Aluma Agree To Deal

Undrafted rookie Keve Aluma has agreed to a free agent deal with the Grizzlies, a source tells Jonathan Givony of ESPN (Twitter link).

Aluma will be joining the Grizzlies on the heels of an impressive 2021/22 season in which he averaged 15.8 PPG, 6.5 RPG, and 1.9 APG on .538/.333/.785 shooting in 36 games (30.8 MPG) for Virginia Tech.

Aluma, who played two seasons for the Hokies after transferring from Wofford, earned All-ACC Second Team honors in both 2021 and 2022.

Givony didn’t provide any specifics on what Aluma’s contract will look like, but an Exhibit 10 deal is the most likely outcome. On an Exhibit 10, the Grizzlies could convert Aluma to a two-way contract or give him a bonus of up to $50K if he becomes an affiliate player for the Memphis Hustle, their G League team.

Pelicans To Sign Izaiah Brockington to Exhibit 10 Deal

Iowa State guard Izaiah Brockington has agreed to join the Pelicans on an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Richard Stayman of MavsDraft.com (Twitter link).

In his senior year, Brockington averaged 16.9 PPG and 6.8 RPG. The 6’4” guard also made 36.1% of his 3-point tries and was second on his team in steals.

Pacers To Sign Jermaine Samuels To Exhibit 10 Contract

The Pacers are signing Jermaine Samuels, Matt Norlander of CBS Sports tweets. The Villanova product is inking an Exhibit 10 contract, James Boyd of the Indianapolis Star tweets.

Samuels, a 6’7” forward, averaged 11.1 PPG and 6.5 RPG in his senior season for the Wildcats. Samuels played 153 games over five seasons for the perennial Big East power, averaging 8.5 PPG and 5.2 RPG in 24.1 MPG.

College teammate Collin Gillespie is signing a two-way deal with the Nuggets after going undrafted.

Thunder To Sign Gabe Brown To Exhibit 10 Contract

After going undrafted on Thursday, Michigan State forward Gabe Brown has reached a deal to sign with the Thunder, reports Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog.com (Twitter link). While Zagoria categorizes Brown’s deal as partially guaranteed, Jake Weingarten of StockRisers.com tweets that it’s an Exhibit 10 contract.

An Exhibit 10 is a one-year, non-guaranteed minimum-salary contract that counts toward a team’s 20-man offseason roster limit, but doesn’t count against the cap unless the player makes the regular season roster.

A player on an Exhibit 10 contract can earn a bonus of up to $50K if he’s waived and then joins his team’s G League affiliate, which may be the partial guarantee Zagoria was referring to. A player can also have his Exhibit 10deal converted into a two-way contract before the start of the regular season.

Ranked by ESPN as the No. 22 prospect of the undrafted rookies, Brown entered the starting lineup on a full-time basis for the Spartans as a senior in 2021/22, averaging 11.6 PPG and 3.8 RPG with a .382 3PT% in 36 games (28.9 MPG). He earned a spot on the All-Big 10 Third Team before going pro this spring.

Brown’s deal with Oklahoma City can become official after the new NBA league year begins on July 1.

Spurs Agree To Deals With Kyler Edwards, Darius Days, Jordan Hall

The Spurs and undrafted rookie guard Kyler Edwards have agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal, agent Aman Dhesi tells Mark Berman of Fox 26 Houston (Twitter link). Edwards will also play for San Antonio’s Summer League team.

Edwards spent his first three college years at Texas Tech before transferring to Houston for the 2021/22 season. He was a full-time starter for the Cougars as a senior, averaging 13.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game in 37 appearances (34.1 MPG), though his field goal percentage dipped to 36.9%. Edwards opted to forgo his final year of NCAA eligibility and go pro this year.

In addition to Edwards, the Spurs have also reached deals with undrafted rookies Darius Days and Jordan Hall, according to Jake Weingarten of StockRisers.com and Richard Stayman of MavsDraft.com, respectively (Twitter links).

Days, a forward out of LSU, is the No. 24 prospect on ESPN’s list of undrafted rookies after averaging 13.7 PPG and 7.8 RPG with a .350 3PT% as a senior in 2021/22. Hall, a guard out of Saint Joseph’s, put up 14.1 PPG, 6.7 RPG, and 5.8 APG with a .362 3PT% in his sophomore season.

No further details were reported on the deals for Days and Hall, so it’s unclear if they’re Exhibit 10 pacts like Edwards’ agreement. An Exhibit 10 contract can be converted into a two-way deal or can award a player a bonus worth up to $50K if he’s waived before the regular season and joins his team’s G League affiliate.

The Spurs’ signings can become official after the new league year begins next week.

Kofi Cockburn, Darryl Morsell Signing With Jazz

The Jazz will sign Illinois center Kofi Cockburn, tweets Jonathan Givony of ESPN. He will receive an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Tony Jones of The Athletic (Twitter link).

The seven-footer was a first-team All-American this season and a first-team All-Big 10 selection the past two years. He averaged 20.9 points, 10.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game as a junior before declaring for the draft.

Marquette guard Darryl Morsell is also signing with Utah, tweets Jon Chepkevich of Rookie Scale. Like Cockburn, he’ll get an Exhibit 10 contract, per Givony (Twitter link).

Morsell spent his first four collegiate seasons at Maryland and was named Big 10 Defensive Player of the Year in 2021. He averaged 13.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 31 games for the Golden Eagles.

An Exhibit 10 deal is a one-year, minimum-salary contract that counts toward a team’s 20-man offseason roster limit, but doesn’t count against the cap unless the player makes the regular season roster. Although it’s not guaranteed, a player on an Exhibit 10 contract can earn a bonus of up to $50K if he’s waived and then joins his team’s G League affiliate. An Exhibit 10 contract can also be converted into a two-way deal before the start of the regular season.
