The basketball world is focused on the draft at the moment, but while Chicago waits to pick at No. 29, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune has checked in with a column full of Bulls-related items. You can continue to follow tonight's draft results here and any last-minute rumors right here, but in the meantime, let's round up the highlights from Johnson….
- Although the Bulls have exercised Tom Thibodeau's option for 2012/13, extension talks between the team and coach have stalled. One source warned Johnson that a lack of a deal is typical at this stage of negotiations, but there's still significant work to do before the two sides reach an agreement.
- Chicago will pursue former Bull Kirk Hinrich in free agency, though he's not the team's only target and he won't be offered the full mid-level.
- The Bulls have until July 10th to make decisions on non-guaranteed contracts for Kyle Korver, Ronnie Brewer, and C.J. Watson. None of the three are expected to return, though there's still a slight possibility Korver is retained.
