A flurry of trade rumors surounded the Lakers and Pau Gasol yesterday, with Los Angeles reportedly "very open" to discussing Gasol trades. While Wednesday's round of rumors had L.A. potentially landing everyone from Josh Smith to Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (in the form of a top-five pick), I wouldn't be surprised if Pau is a Laker at the end of the day. There still seems to be a divide between what the Lakers hope to get for Gasol and the Spaniard's actual trade value, given his sizable contract. Here are a few more Lakers swirling around on the morning of draft day though:
- According to Dave McMenamin of ESPNLosAngeles.com, Jonny Flynn has identified a handful of teams as potential destinations and should find mutual interest. The Lakers are on the list, along with the Trail Blazers, Suns, Raptors, Bulls, and Nets, says McMenamin. We can probably throw Cleveland on there too, since we heard yesterday there was mutual interest between Flynn and the Cavs.
- While Brandon Roy is expected to draw interest from a handful of teams, don't count on the Lakers being one of them. McMenamin reports that the Lakers are wary that Roy's knees could hold up over the course of a full 82-game season, and don't figure to pursue the former Blazer.
- Engaging Jordan Hill in contract negotiations will be right near the top of the Lakers' to-do list on July 1st, according to McMenamin. The Lakers, who can offer Hill a maximum first-year salary of about $3.63MM, are considered the frontrunners for the big man, though the Timberwolves are expected to be in the hunt as well.

Wonder if Boston would be able to get their hands on him with a first round pick to pair down low with Garnett who hopefully will come back for another season.
