Odds & Ends: Bucks, Grizzlies, Gay, Wizards, Suns

The Bucks may be in need of a big man following their trade of Andrew Bogut to the Warriors, but Milwaukee is also taking a hard look at the guards in this year's draft, writes Charles F. Gardner of the Journal-Sentinel.  While the club is expected to target size with their No. 12 pick, they could go after a guard with size at No. 42 in support of Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis.  Marquette's Darius Johnson-Odom and Wisconsin's Jordan Taylor were among those auditioned yesterday.  Here's a look at tonight's links..

  • Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee (via Twitter) wonders if Rudy Gay might be a fit for the Kings.  Earlier today we learned that the Grizzlies are expected to shop the forward and his hefty contract.
  • The Magic need a lot of help if they hope to make a run at Gay as they have limited trade assets, tweets Steve Kyler of HoopsWorld.
  • Despite the lengthy process, Wizards president Ernie Grunfeld said that coach Randy Wittman was the guy they wanted all along, tweets Michael Lee of the Washington Post.  "After we took time to evaluate our situation, yes," said Grunfeld.
  • Suns GM Lance Blanks says that the franchise is looking to add some youth on the perimeter through the draft, writes Stefan Swiat of Suns.com.  The Suns own the No. 13 pick in the draft while their second-round pick belongs to the Hawks.
