In a string of tweets, Brian T. Smith of The Salt Lake Tribune says that unrestricted free agent C.J. Miles has drawn serious interest from the Lakers and that they currently have the edge among other teams that Miles is strongly considering. The 6'6 guard/forward played in 56 games for the Jazz last season, averaging 9.1 PPG on 38.1% shooting from the field and 30.7% from long range in 20.4 MPG.
According to Smith, the Lakers are offering a one or two-year deal for the mini-mid level exception and that Miles could finalize his decision within the next two or three days.
Miles would be a decent SG/SF off the bench, but he’s very inefficient. I’d rather see them sign Meeks. Although I wouldn’t complain if they ended up with both.
Not a fan for the MME. We need someone who can shoot from 3 and that’s not Miles. I’d rather go for Meeks, Bell, or Barbosa to be honest.
I rather see the Lakers get Meeks, he’s a better three-point shooter and a better defender than Miles.
No Jodie Meeks is not a good defender at all
CJ Miles is the typ of player that does all the dirty work at the guard spot that would be a great pickup plus he has played in a structured offense in Utah he would be perfect
Pass on it….need better quality shooters….they are probably more focused pn hia size.
