Deron Williams has met with both the Nets and the Mavericks, and a report last night suggested he's expected to come to a decision today or tomorrow. Ken Berger of CBSSports.com tweeted that the Nets wouldn't have been so aggressive in their pursuit of Joe Johnson if they weren't confident Williams would re-sign, but nothing is official yet. While we wait for D-Will's decision, here's the latest on his free agency:
- Alex Kennedy of HoopsWorld hears from a source close to the Williams/Nets talks that the meeting between the two sides went "very well" (Twitter link).
- Williams is working out at the Nets' practice facility today, tweets ESPN.com's Chris Broussard. This doesn't necessarily mean anything, since Williams has been working out there for most of the offseason, but it certainly doesn't suggest that he'd decided on the Mavericks.

LeBron worked out in Cleveland before he left…Where else is he supposed to work out to get ready for the olympics?
Wishful thinking. Dwill is signing with Brooklyn. Get over it!
Come on DWill! Come to Big D and then we will trade for D Howard. Just think, D Will, Dirk, D Howard all in the Big D! Too many D’s to be wrong!
The Big D better go after Nash. This one’s a done deal. Dwill is a NET.
Get the deal done you two!
