Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski tweets that the Mavericks and Cavaliers are teams with cap space that could interest Andrew Bynum during his pending free agency in 2013. He also mentions the Rockets as another potential suitor. The Lakers recently exercised Bynum's $16.1MM team option for the 2012-13 season, and the 24-year-old center is currently slated to become a free agent next summer.
playing with steve nash this year will make bynum realize that playing with a legit pg helps ALOT… and there’s an awfully good, young pg in cleveland
Cleveland would be an interesting spot for him. Dallas would be nice but they would need a legit PG, maybe CP3? Could be a big summer for any of these 3 teams next year.
Intriguing. I can see the Lakers being willing to let Bynum go. They’ll try, sure, if they don’t wind up trading him for Howard, but I don’t think they’ll be heartbroken to lose. While the Cavs will have all the money, will they be able to attract a guy who’s played in LA for years? Interesting.
Man, Kyrie and Bynum? What a pick and roll combo. That would instantly make Cleveland a more appealing option for other free agents too. I have a feeling that this is just wishful thinking though.
