JULY 16TH. 2:01pm: The deal is official, the team announced (on Twitter).
JULY 2ND, 12:08pm: The Kings and James Anderson have agreed on a multiyear deal, reports Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports (Twitter link). Anderson, a former 20th overall pick, spent last season with Zalgiris of Lithuania after he was the starting shooting guard for the Sixers in 2013/14.
Anderson averaged 13.7 points in 25.2 minutes per game overseas this past season, numbers apparently strong enough to keep him on the NBA radar. His original deal with Zalgiris included an NBA out clause, but he chose not to exercise it in exchange for a raise.
It’s unclear what the Andy Miller client will make with the Kings, but following their agreement to trade three players to Philadelphia in a cap-clearing deal, Sacramento has plenty of latitude to exceed the minimum.
Who?
@jman his names james Anderson
That’s who they signed after the worst trade in league history??? Lol the kings are a dumpster fire
Just shows what you know it was not a trade!!!! He was not in the Leage last season he was over seas.. If your gonna talk bad about someone then know your facts.
He was talking about the stauskas, Landry and thompson to the sixers trade. I’m pretty sure we all know he wasn’t in the league last yr. Not to bash you but maybe you don’t know your facts.
anything more then 2 years is a little much. sure he was ok with the sixers. but i guess the kings see something in him. i guess it doesnt hurt to try something different. instead of having the same roster that not working
He was not with the sixers last year. He played over seas last season.
Congrats James Anderson!!!! It proves that hard work pays off!!! I for one am very proud of you!!!
Wow, the Kings have just signed a player no other NBA team wanted. They have just caught a rocket to the finals or maybe not. They will be dominant when Mr. Ranadive moves them to the Indian League.
Now, all that is left for the Kings to fulfill their destiny is to use all of that free salary cap space on a player hobbled by injury, Go Kings.
