The Pelicans signed Anthony Davis to an extension over the summer, so they shouldn’t feel too much pressure to win this season. It would be nice to give Davis a chance to earn more playoff experience, but if they can’t turn it around in a hurry, they should probably turn the focus to player development and try to trade some of their veterans.
