The Bulls are concerned that Dwyane Wade could miss several games with a right elbow injury he suffered tonight, writes K.C. Johnson of The Chicago Tribune.
An MRI is scheduled for Thursday morning to determine the extent of the damage. Wade, who was wearing a sling after the game, said he “heard a couple of pops.”
“My concern level is there are only 14 games left, and I’ve never had this injury,” Wade said. “So I can’t say two days, two weeks. I don’t know.”
He just doesn’t want to play for the Bulls, anymore. It’s beyond obvious. I guarantee you’ll never see him put that Bulls uniform on again.
He shouldn’t have been on the Bulls in the first place.
agreed x2.
i was actually telling my coworkers that i was expecting d wade to get “injured” for the rest of the season at some point
If Reinsdorf was coherent or not in a coma he’d fire the entire front office. They’ve become quite a joke!
He doesn’t care. He is letting his moron son run the show, and his son is good friends with Paxson and Forman, and Forman is GREAT friends with Hoiberg. He even sold him his house back in 2004. It’s just a boys club. They don’t care about the fans. That’s why I stopped watching, going to games, and buying merchandise. Until they change the front office, I’m done.
…and Wade thought, why don’t I let Z-Bo bend my elbow unnaturally, that’ll show this organization that I’m not invested in them???
And if he does have internal damage to his elbow, are we to believe he set this whole scenario up?
So help me out here — all of Kome’s injuries his last four years, and all of brittle Anthony Davis’ injuries were fake too?? Or is this just a dig at Wade?
Easiest way to get rid of $47 MM dollars? Burn it, or give a contract to Dwayne Wade.
Been a while since da Bulls sniffed a championship, huh?
Wade isn’t your biggest issue. Rondo is trash, been in the league how long and can’t consistently hit a jumper past 15′, can’t get along with management anywhere he’s been, whines like he’s ovulating every time he has an issue.
You just let Gibson (and McDermitt) go for OKC’s crap. Yeah, if Cam Payne is your future, you’ll be yearning for the good ole’ days of Butler and Wade. Gibson was having his best year ever???? You banking on getting Chris Bosh next year at the 4 spot?
Wade will be remembered as one of the top 5 SG of all time when Miami puts that #3 in the rafters. He’s not your biggest problem. Maybe Portis needs to shoot more 3’s.
Wade WAS a good player at one point. Now he’s a lazy, washed up prima dona who’s barely worth half the money he get paid. At the end of the day, you’re judged by one thing and one thing only: did you win games? Not stats, or championships you won years ago with Shaq and LeBron. Wade had little to no impact on the Bulls, which is no surprise to anyone with a clue. What makes Wade so insufferable is his constant whining and selling out his teammates and coaches to the media. He’s just a punk.
As a Bulls fan, Rondo is the least of
our problems. In fact, he isn’t even a problem at all.
The entire team looks up to him, except Wade and Butler, of course. He’s the real leader.
Hoiberg is a terrible communicator and coach.
I remember Shaq winning one WITH WADE. The Heat squad, especially on defense, got better when ZO replaced Shaq on the floor.
So if Wade isn’t worth the $$, does that validate Riley ONLY offering Wade $20 mil + a couple of more million per year?
Selling out = trying to get your teammates to care about their craft? Does Jimmy have a problem with Wade? Why not? You don’t have to answer that now, wait until Butler’s in Boston next year, and he’ll tell us what was happening.
Not judged by championships?
Sounds like you should replace Wade with one of them REAL ballers like Brandon Jennings. Hey, Matt Barnes is available.
You seriously defending Wade? The Bulls have been in free-fall all season long, yet Wade’s biggest gripe is a young teammate who wouldn’t let him have a triple-double. He clearly doesn’t respect his teammates or the organization that welcomed him with open arms and a ridiculous contract. No commitment from this guy at any point this season. None.
This is why I can’t stand the today’s NBA. These guys get enormous guaranteed contracts no matter what, so they feel themselves and they the world owes them something. If the NBA had a CBA similar to the NFL, guys like Wade would get waived unless they took a substantial pay cut.
Agree. At this stage in his career, Wade is worth no more than $6-7 million. I means, he doesn’t practice, and he is only able to play in about 3/4 of the games.
Of course, I’m always suspect of his “injuries.” The guy is a Hollywood primadonna type. He only plays when he feels like it.
Exactly. I have no respect for players like Wade.
