After being upgraded to questionable earlier in the day, it now appears as though Rudy Gobert is healthy enough to return to action tonight, Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune tweets.
Gobert had been sidelined since banging his knee on the first play of Game 1. Shortly after the injury was sustained, the big man underwent X-rays and an MRI which both revealed that there was no structural damage.
With Gobert in the lineup, the Jazz will get the opportunity to exact revenge on a Clippers team that has hopped out to a 2-1 lead over their shorthanded opponents. In Game 3, of course, Clips forward Blake Griffin went down with a toe injury that will cost him the remainder of the postseason.
In 81 games for the Jazz this season, Gobert emerged as a Defensive Player of the Year candidate with an improved offensive game. His 14.0 points and 12.8 rebounds per game, coupled with the sheer length that he possesses around the rim, will serve the visiting Utah squad well.
Rudy you about to be left alone in Utah without Hayward next season, he is gone and the Jazz are going nowhere beyond the second round. He really thinks him and Hayward can lead the Jazz to rings? lmaooooo. Hayward is going to Boston along with Blake, and the Celtics drafting Fultz, its about to be a dynasty
PG-Thomas
SG-Fultz
SF-Hayward
PF-Griffin
C- Horford
RINGS
Fultz would come off the bench. Avery Bradley would start as he’ll play defense, unlike anyone else you mentioned.
Also, Danny doesn’t want Griffin. He’s always hurt and soft. They need a physical rebounder and the two kids they used as draft and stash last year will both be in green next year and can rebound.
LMAO are you serious? Fultz off the bench? are you out of your mind? Blake may be injury prone but he plays at a all-star level when healthy, He would be a great addition.
It’s not a knock. Bradley just plays better D and is a better fit with that starting group. Fultz of the bench gives you a ton of scoring as well
Off*
Comical. The Clippers actually play better without Griffin.
And is there a more interesting team to watch than the Jazz, unless of course you prefer selfish one on one street ball. The Jazz play team ball, and if Hayward is smart he’ll stay where his style of play is best utilized.
D-Will’s biggest mistake was not embracing the Jazz style of play. Look where it’s gotten him.
