Danilo Gallinari of the Nuggets intends to decline his $16.1 MM player option for 2017/18 and become a free agent, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.
According to Woj’s report, league sources state that the Italian-born forward remains open to the possibility of rejoining the Nuggets. Furthermore, Nuggets GM Tim Connelly has expressed a strong desire to keep Gallo as key contributor on the team. Gallinari is coming off a strong season, in which he averaged 18.2 PPG, 5.2 RPG, and 2.1 APG.
I love Gallo.
He can score in variety of ways, hit’s the three, he’s tough and attacks the basket, has great size.
Too bad he is a little bit injury-prone. I guess that’s what you get with an aggressive player.
Dallas get him!!
I think he will go to denver and resign
Gallinari is the Celtics plan B to Hayward
He’d be a good add but the only issue is he’ll price himself out of allowing Boston to add a 2nd lower tier FA. If he gets 20 per year they can’t add Redick or Ibaka. PJ Tucker for 3/30 and Gallo for 4/80, Sullinger for league minimum and a legitimate big or two with the remaining exceptions?
Sullinger? No thanks.
They need a rebounder and he didn’t suck in Boston, he just wasnt that good. I’d take a better alternative, but can’t think of one off the top of my head.
At the minimum.
Yep. I’ll never understand the notion that Sullinger was bad. He wasn’t an all-star player by any means, but he was a decent little rotation piece. If he were in shape, I wouldn’t mind a reunion.
Sullinger is practically out of the league. Celtics should have Zizic and Yabusele coming over to add to their frontcourt
Plan C behind Hayward and B. Griffin
Gallinari. Knicks.
Gallinari has got to be on the Celtics radar for sure, however I just don’t think he should be ahead of guys like Hayward, Millsap, or Griffin. Heck I’d even re-sign Olynyk before looking into Gallinari. Yes he can score, but I feel like he’s injury prone and just isn’t a long-term answer at the 3.
He’s a 4 nowadays
Chris Bosh has to be near the top of the C’s list he’s the perfect player for Brads system because he can shoot the three. A 1 year deal to see what kind of player he is at this point makes too much sense. Him and horford would give them an interesting front court.
Just cause Bosh can hit the 3, doesn’t mean he’s a “perfect” fit here
