Wondering how many picks your team has? Check out our 2017 NBA Draft Picks page. The Sixers have the most selections with five, though they are looking to deal at least one of their second-rounders. The draft is just two weeks away. As we wait for the big night, check out some notes on some of the prospects expecting to hear their name called on June 22:
- Harry Giles has plans to work out for the Pistons, Bulls, Heat, and Pacers before the draft, Joe Freeman of The Oregonian tweets. The Duke product has already met with the Kings and Blazers.
- Jarrett Allen will work out for the Nuggets on Friday, Nick Kosmider of The Denver Post tweets. Allen is the 17th best prospect in the upcoming draft, per Jonathan Givony of Draft Express.
- Allen will go through drills with the Kings on Saturday, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee passes along (Twitter link).
- Nick Kosmider of The Denver Post chronicles the hurdles that Caleb Swanigan has had to overcome to make his dream of playing basketball professionally a reality. The Purdue big man is expected to be taken in the second round of this year’s draft.
- Swanigan is scheduled to work out for his hometown Jazz on Saturday, sources tell Tony Jones of the Salt Lake City Tribune (Twitter link).
I think swanigan won’t pan out i think he’s at best a good college player and I see why GM have them down on their draft boards I think he will struggle in the league and be outta the league in a few years sad to say for a players that’s put so much effort into reviving his career
It depends on where he goes and whether the coaches are committed to player development. Spurs…Pop makes his players better! He has assistants that teach. Lots of coaches think they are shrinks…baby sitter…keep them out of trouble.
Idk I think he will b better then Anthony Bennett who went 1-1 lol
I think the Celtics should bring in some big men to work out because if they do draft Fultz then one of Bradley or Smart is out(my guess is Bradley just because he is an impending FA and might as well get something for him instead of just letting him walk where Smart still has some years left on his affordable rookie deal) and both could fetch high picks so I think they should look into that because if they can draft one of the top centers they could move Horford back to power forward where he is a better fit and will give the Celtics more of a post presence allowing Horford to move out to mid range and the 3 point line where he excels so I Would be very happy if the Celtics come away with both Fultz and one of Zack Collins or Jarrett Allen in the first round of the draft
