JULY 6: The Suns’ deal with James will be a two-way contract, tweets Chris Reichert of The Step Back. Our primer on two-way contracts can be found right here.
JULY 4: Combo guard Mike James has signed with the Suns, the team announced on its website.
James, 26, has spent the past five seasons in Europe and played this year for Panathinaikos in Greece. He has also spent time in Croatia, Israel, Italy and Spain.
The 6’1″ James played 25 games this season, averaging 13.1 points, 3.0 assists and 0.9 steals per night. He is part of the Suns’ summer league team this year and played summer ball for Phoenix in 2015. He scored 32 points in the 2015 championship game in Las Vegas.
James played collegiately at Lamar, where he was named first-team All-Southland Conference in 2011/12 and scored 52 points in a 2010/11 game. He went undrafted in 2012.
Suns got a nice looking lineup
Bledsoe-Booker-Jackson-Chriss-Chandler
My god :0
80% of that lineup led them to 24 wins last year. Jackson doesn’t make it “look” that much better
Huge fan of Josh Jackson. He has a killer instinct and a very high motor with exceptional athleticism and great instincts on defense and playing passing lanes. I don’t expect him to be Lebron James off the gate but I don’t see why he can’t average 14-16 ppg his very first season alongside Booker and Bledsoe. That Bender kid will develop slowly, I expect him to come back stronger and contribute alot more. They are a 32-35 win team as is, maybe getting a center in the coming draft should be the objective, Bamba would be ideal.
So that lineup that “may” win 30+ games makes you say “my god”? I can’t imagine what the warriors roster makes you say…and considering you basing that on the idea that JJ will average 14-16 pig when no off naively challenge wing rookie has done that in the last 10 years (at least) makes your comments all the more laughable. But, considering the source…
