JULY 10: The Timberwolves have officially signed Teague, the team announced today.
JUNE 30: The Timberwolves and unrestricted free agent Jeff Teague have agreed to a deal, per Jon Krawczynski of The Associated Press (via Twitter). It will be a three-year, $57MM deal, per the scribe. The final year is reportedly a player option.
The addition of Teague will continue an extremely busy offseason for Minnesota, with the team having already acquired star swingman Jimmy Butler from the Bulls earlier this week. The Wolves were in desperate need of a point guard, having shipped away Ricky Rubio (Jazz) and Kris Dunn (Bulls) in separate trades.
In 82 contests last season for the Pacers, Teague averaged 15.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 7.8 assists. His career marks are 12.6 PPG, 2.4 RPG and 5.5 APG to go along with a shooting line of .447/.355/.844.

So I guess Rubio is on his way out. I wonder where?
He was already traded to Utah bud
He was traded to the Jazz yesterday.
Whoa, thanks for the heads up. I guess I missed that.
Interesting moves then. Minny is going all the way up!
He went to the Jazz already ColoredPaper
I was thinking 18, and he got 19. Good deal for Minnesota
Tampering much . This deal was final before the free agency window was open
Who cares they all tamper
What a downgrade at more money. Way to telegraph the worst option on the market and actually do it. Rubio was better and cheaper annually.
Rubio isn’t better at the aspects of the game that the Wolves need the 1 spot to provide. They have multiple players who need the ball in their hand to score and biggest strength is getting to the rim. Rubi would have absolutely killed their spacing.
Plus that’s just good asset management. An extra first round pick next season is huge, even if it ends up being a late rounder.
I think hill would have been a much better fit and around the same price. Although injuries are concerning. He was on my fantasy team and I hated/loved him.
The word is out on George Hill. That’s why he went to a franchise like Sacramento.
Only got a one-year deal.
He won’t play when nicked up. Some guys the coach has to pull them off the floor.
When asked, Snyder would answer, I’m not sure if George Hill is playing.
Extremely frustrating for a team.
There was some talk of Hill going back to the Spurs but they already have a point guard who plays 49 games.
I just saw that George Hill got 3 years !!
Can I change my comment from “… he only got a one-year deal,” to, “he had to go to the Kings for a three deal? ” LOL :)
three years is a bit on the short side, so that’s a win. Teague just turned 29
Plus it’s less than the max. He’s making $19M per season which is nice
He can shoot and defend. 2 huge aspects that Rubio lacks. I have a feeling Rose may end up the back up in Minnesota. Gut feeling he takes less money to play for a guy who he knows and can make a real playoff push with. I can also c a PJ Tucker signing to b a super sub because he can D up as well. The Wolves r building around the 2 #1s. I have a feeling if it works we will probably c the 76ers do something similar in a couple years and build around Simmons and Fultz with vets that fit there style
Wayyyy off rose going to Knicks and pj tucker to rockets
This team won’t be anything as long as they won’t play like it’s 2017 not 2005
