It’s been a busy day on the Eric Bledsoe front. After the point guard posted a tweet expressing his displeasure with his situation on Sunday, the Suns indicated that Bledsoe wouldn’t play in Monday night’s game against Sacramento, and it sounds like he may not suit up at all for Phoenix going forward, as the club looks to trade him.
Bledsoe has been linked to the Bucks and Knicks, among other teams, with the Suns reportedly seeking Frank Ntilikina and Willy Hernangomez from New York. However, the Knicks aren’t eager to move either player. Meanwhile, the Nuggets are also said to have interest in Bledsoe, with Denver and Phoenix discussing a deal that would involve Emmanuel Mudiay.
While we wait to see if anything comes of any of those rumors, here’s the latest on Bledsoe:
- According to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 (Twitter link), Bledsoe actually had multiple meeting with the Suns before the season to discuss the possibility of a trade, so it’s not as if his dissatisfaction just developed within the last few days.
- Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders provides an update on the Suns‘ talks with the Nuggets, reporting that Kenneth Faried has emerged as part of a hypothetical package. That’s not a real surprise, since Faried doesn’t seem completely happy in Denver, and his contract would be useful for salary-matching purposes.
- A Faried/Mudiay package is the first idea proposed by ESPN’s Kevin Pelton in his Insider-only article examining trade possibilities. Although Pelton also puts forth trade ideas involving the Magic, Cavaliers, and a few other teams, he suggests that the Nuggets are the most logical landing spot for Bledsoe “by a wide margin.”
- Charles Curtis of USA Today makes a case for the Sixers as the best trade partner for the Suns, while Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News explains why the Mavericks aren’t a fit.
Bledsoe isn’t an off ball player and Simmons is clearly the pg. While I like his defense and veteran leadership, I just don’t see the fit for Bled and Philly
Nuggets lose 18 wins on trade machine in a faried mudiay deal
What about a return to LA clippers and play with Blake & DeAndre. Beverly Bledsoe Gallinari Blake & DeAndre would seem to be a good fit. Plus, DeAndre’s tweet back last night said, “come home bro!” Thoughts?
Great. But he’s not a FA, so what do the Clippers have that the Suns would want?
Perfect Blake and Jordan for Bledsoe.
I think the suns will probably approve?
Not even playing for the Suns now. That can’t be good for his trade value… seems like Phoenix is completely mishandling this.
DWade and Moondoggie for Bledsoe. Although Moondoggie most likely has a larger contract.
The CAVS could use a trade exceptions in a 2-part trade, trading centers Zizic, 20, for Len, 24.
Zizic is their only tradable youngster. He has more potenrial than Len if only because Len is kind of known by now and he lacks offense and could not beat out TChandler. However he is ready now as a rim defender.
As for Bledsoe, the youngest tradable perimeter players are Isaiah Thomas, 28, and Iman Shumpert, 27, who could go with the Cleveland #1 pick. The two trades would have to be linked for the Cavs because they need their trading assets for a ready center. Salaries are about equal.
Overall the Suns could do better, since they are interested in youth not an allstar. IDK what bridges are left behind from IT’s previous stint there.
The Cavs would appreciate TChandler but they don’t have enough youngsters to send. They are unlikely to part with the Nets #1.
NEVERMIND
Too many ×!@#$% arcane rules. Len ineligible, Osman is.
I don’t know why any team would give up much for Eric. He’s played more than 60 games in only three of eight NBA seasons so far. He doesn’t shoot well enough (.334 career 3PT%) to play off the ball.
Knicks shouldn’t be interested if they’re truly trying to rebuild. Many of the contenders already have good PG’s. I really only see a couple of teams (ie. Cleveland, Denver) that it makes sense to have interest in him, and I would not be selling the farm to get him.
Trade Bledsoe Dudley and Chandler for Holiday and Hill
Think Nerlens Noel trade will be better than what they get for him now. The Suns f’d this one up. Somehow they were talking about Bledsoe being part of a package for Kyrie? lol Was Corleone that Suns homer that said Bledsoe for #3 overall from the Sixers?
Corleone lol. The guy who said Anthony Bennett was a “good pickup.” The guy who picked Devin Booker for MVP. Nobody in their right mind pays any attention to what he posts.
