While the Sixers were knocked out of the 2018 playoffs in the Eastern Conference Semifinals by the underdog Celtics, few teams are better positioned in this year’s draft than Philadelphia. The 76ers own six of the 60 picks in the 2018 NBA draft, including a pair of first-rounders.
As our full 2018 draft order shows, the Sixers are one of seven NBA teams that holds more than two selections in this year’s draft. On the other end of the spectrum, eight teams have just one pick in 2018, while two teams – the Heat and Raptors – don’t have any selections.
To present a clearer picture of which teams are most – and least – stocked with picks for the 2018 NBA draft, we’ve rounded up all 60 picks by team in the space below. Let’s dive in…
Teams with more than two picks:
- Philadelphia 76ers (5): 10, 26, 38, 56, 60

- Charlotte Hornets (3): 11, 45, 55

- Detroit Pistons (1): 42
- Houston Rockets (1): 46
- New Orleans Pelicans (1): 51
- Miami Heat (0)
- Toronto Raptors (0)
Grayson Allen will be a steal, watch Golden State draft him.
Nah, Warriors have someone who kicks people already.
They can alternate suspensions
Grayson would be great on a team like Boston where he can move off the ball and hustle like a mad man. I like him on Snyder’s system also.
Steal = waste of a pick
If the Sixers stand pat mostly…
10 – Mikal Bridges, Miles Bridges, or Colin Sexton
26 – Donte DiVincenzo, Khyri Thomas, or Keita Bates-Diop
38 Jevon Carter/Tony Carr
39 Moritz Wagner
56 & 60 traded to dump Bayless
It will take more than 56 & 60 to move Bayless. More like ten or 26. That bayless dump is to clear room to lure LBJ.
Well we have seen teams in the past trade lotto picks to dump a salary. I don’t know that the Sixers would give up the #10 pick to dump Bayless, but if so my Hawks should be very interested!
Yea, you’re acting like his contract is 18.5M not 8.5M. They can stretch him and save 5.7M immediately. And there are several teams that already know they aren’t doing anything in FA and would take either the 2nds or a Holmes, TJ, TLC, Korkmaz or Anderson. The Sixers will move on from Holmes, TJ, and Anderson regardless next year b/c they aren’t paying luxury tax to keep guys at the end of their bench. They will draft replacements, as I’ve outlined with my picks. So adding any one of those 5 players into a trade is also possible. Bulls, Mavs, Hawks, Kings, Nets – all teams in rebuild mode with cap space to absorb the contract and looking to acquire assets. You can find a player in the 2nd – Ersan, Crabbe, Clarkson, Patty Mills, Brogdon, Crowder, Middleton, Dragic, Jokic, Whiteside, DJ, Millsap, Draymond, IT4, Ginobli, Gasol – all 2nd round picks.
While I agree, that #10 pick is aiming high. The Hawks nor those other teams are taking him for late 2nd rd picks! #26 is possible.
Lakers – PJ Washington – athletic Kentucky center runs the court well; Billy Preston – 3 or 4 with good length and a bit of an attitude (replacement for Julius Randle in 2019)
Damn 76ers even when they don’t tank, they still get 6 picks. Rigged!!
I doubt that PJ plays center. He measured 6’6.5” at the combine.
