The Suns could move some of their assets to gain another lottery pick, Scott Bordow of the Arizona Republic tweets.
Phoenix is expected to select Arizona center Deandre Ayton with the top pick. They also own the No. 16 pick, courtesy of the Goran Dragic deal with the Heat, as well as two second-rounders – Nos. 31 and 59. They are interested in forward Michael Porter Jr. and one of the top three college guards – Trae Young, Collin Sexton and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – if they can make a deal, Bordow adds.
Porter Jr. could team up with Ayton and give the Suns a formidable frontcourt duo for the next few seasons. They are also in need of a point guard, with Elfrid Payton headed to restricted free agency if they extend a qualifying offer of $4.75MM by the June 29th deadline.
Probably just 16 and 32 for one of the Clippers picks or something
Trae Young would be amazing.
He is the biggest bust in the draft
Agreed.
Why is this in the heat section it’s like rubbing salt in a wound lol
What assets do the Suns have to compel a team to move out of the lottery and pick at #16?
To just move from #13 to #16, Devon Reed, last year’s PHX’s r2 pick… if LAC wanted to move down. DEN at #14, to replace Barton. That’s about it.
Chriss or Bender, Pretty much the whole roster besides could b moved besides Booker, Jackson and Tucker
And Booker has a 5/$157-or-leave call coming up.
Great future for Phoenix if they play their cards right, I mean a superstar like Booker, a good player in TJ, a very good one in Jackson, another phenomenon like Ayton coming + whatever else they can get, not bad, happy days in Arizona.
Booker is only a star, not a Super star.
Imagine if this would’ve happened and you grt one of those guards you have young/Sexton/Gilgeous-Alexander Booker Jackson Tj and Ayton? If you can wait 4+ years with that team they’d be unbelievable
