Guard Grayson Allen has signed his rookie contract with the Jazz, the team tweets.
The 6’6” Duke star was the 21st pick of the draft. Allen will receive approximately $2.07MM in the first year of the deal.
Allen averaged 15.5 PPG and 4.7 APG in his senior year and made 38% of his 3-point attempts during his college career.
Primarily a shooting guard, he will compete for minutes at both guard spots behind Ricky Rubio and Donovan Mitchell and perhaps get some playing time at small forward in smaller lineups.
Did the Jimmer change his name?
Jimmer can score on almost anyone, Allen cannot.
If Hummer could score on almost anyone, he’d be a star attraction on the warriors. But he isn’t so he doesn’t.
Yes Jimmer can scoring anyone. He is a tremendous offensive player. But he can’t guard anybody. That keeps him off the floor, and unsigned.
Take a look at Gerald Green. The guy can shoot outside, he is like Michael Jordan going to the hole super athletic circus shots, but he’s undisciplined on defense and gets lost. Thus, he’s not an All-Star.
The only person who can save the NBA from the Warriors
He should’ve played hockey.
Good to see that neither Allen nor the Jazz got tripped up during their negotiations.
I like Allen, bet you he is gonna do well this year… why all the hate? People just get hating so many players in these forums, LBJ, Ball, DMC & now Allen… lots of salty fans.
What do you like about Allen? What does he do extremely well?
He just does everything pretty well.
Just giving an honest assessment and my opinion. It’s not hate it’s called scouting and player assessment.
Who u scout for?
Wouldnt mind seeing him trip the warriors up
