Hornets point guard Kemba Walker has said in the past that he doubts he’ll end up with the Knicks once he’s eligible for free agency. He touched on the subject yet again during a visit to the Player’s Association’s kids camp in New York City.
“I’ve been hearing it for years now — the Knicks,” Walker said (via Marc Berman of The New York Post). “Every time I come home, it’s, ‘When are you coming home to the Knicks?’ MSG is a special place, man. The Knicks are a special team. Of course, I’ve been a Knicks fan growing up, always rooted for the home team. But I really can’t see myself in a Knicks jersey — only because I’ve been in one jersey. I really don’t know.”
As for what the future holds, Walker said he doesn’t “have a clue,” while hinting that a Knicks offer next summer might be tempting.
“Got to see. We got to see. I’ve never been free, never been a free agent. We’ll see.” Walker added. “I have no idea. I’ve never been a free agent. I don’t know how the process works. I will have options unless Charlotte gets something done.”
Walker has one year and $12MM remaining on his contract.
Love to see him in NY if Kyrie doesn’t land there.
Hope it never happens.
The Knicks have something good going with Frank,Knox,Porzingis, and Robinson. Literally Frank out there as a defender changes the Knicks lineup why would they invest millions of dollars on Kemba Walker? Makes no sense. Walker is going to stay in Charlotte.
Of the 4 players you mentioned, one is currently rehabbing an ACL injury, one had a subpar rookie season, and two have not played a single minute in the NBA. How do they have something good going?
Knicks should trade for Malik Monk.
Bleacher Report added Kemba said” I just want to do something special in Charlotte. I’ve been there 8 years now, and we really haven’t been consistent as far as winning. I just want to try and establish that culture at some point. That’s what I want to do. I just want to make it a winning organization.” Mith Kupchak told Kemba he wants him to be their leader going forward, and Kemba said that’s what he wants to do.
You have to be careful with these New York and Los Angeles journalists. “They are biased.”

Kemba is a good player, I like him, he would be better with the Knicks than Kyrie, but I think he will stay in Charlotte.
You really don’t get it.
I want Kylie not walker knicks need a super star. And let’s hope jimmy butler comes to.
I’m sure he’d love to play for the Knicks all other things being equal or close. But several things are in play. He has another year with the Hornets. On the Knicks’ wish list, he’s not even a close second to KI. He’s not close to as good, and his ball dominant style wouldn’t be a great fit with what the Knicks are purportedly trying to build. Add in that he’s still potentially eligible for a super max contract with the Hornets. In sum, he’s sure the Hornets will max him out (possibly super max him), and not even sure the Knicks want him. A year out, what exactly would any rational person say differently.
Knowing the Knicks whoever they sign will become a bust
