The 2018/19 NBA regular season will get underway in just seven days, which means it’s time to start getting serious about predictions for the upcoming campaign. With the help of the lines from Bovada and the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, we’re running through the predicted win totals for each of the NBA’s 30 teams, by division, to have you weigh in on whether you think those forecasts are too optimistic or too pessimistic.
Having kicked things off with the Atlantic on Monday, we’re moving onto the Southwest today…

I’ll take over on all teams here the Grizzlies with Gasol and Conley healthy plus Jaren should net 35 wins and I like what Dallas did with their offseason
Agreed! Might go under on Spurs with new injuries
Does the Spurs one take Murray’s injury into consideration?
At the time I published this post, you could’ve placed a bet on the 44.5 number at Bovada, so I assume it takes the Murray injury into consideration. As far as I can tell, the number was slightly higher before the injury (at least 45.5).
Over– Pels, Spurs
Under– Mavs
IDK– Griz, Rockets
Rockets– Bovada seems to think they will be looking beyond the regular season. Good guess but they predict such a drop. Inside info would be key here.
Mavs & Griz got big nods… too much… Mavs are new and Griz have to avoid key injuries. Not their trend but possible.
Cunningham will hold Spurs together while new PG White holds his own after a g-league year.
Pels are better than they were but a drop is predicted! Good bet to beat that, and another is that Jarret Jack becomes the PG.
I’d bet a lot of money on Dallas to go over 35 wins. They have zero incentive to tank and they have a much better roster than they have had in recent years.. they should be arround 40 atleast. Easy over, bet the house…
