The Lakers have made a series of procedural moves, announcing today in a press release that they’ve exercised their 2019/20 team options on Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart, and Brandon Ingram.
All four moves were expected, given the modest costs of those options. For Ball, Kuzma, and Hart, their third-year options will count against L.A.’s cap in ’19/20 for approximately $8.72MM, $1.97MM, and $1.93MM respectively. Each 2017 first-rounder also has a fourth-year team option for 2020/21, which the Lakers will have to exercise or decline by October 31, 2019.
As for Ingram, his fourth-year option will lock in a $7.27MM cap charge on the Lakers’ 2019/20 books. With that option officially picked up, he’s now on track to become extension-eligible next July 1. If he and the Lakers don’t reach an extension agreement by mid-October in 2019, he’d be in line to reach restricted free agency during the summer of 2020.

Kuzma gonna be delt after this year, ingram will be extended. The jury is still out on ball and how he fits with this roster if it doesnt work i can see him along with other assests being delt to portland for lilard or with kuzma and 1st to pelicans for anthony davis. Then lakers could trot out a roster with kd(whom i think signs next offseason) ingram, lebron, dame.
Dame or davis*
AD !!!
Why would KD ever change teams from the Warriors to the Lakers?
Lakers fans think they’re gonna land every big-name free agent every year. smh
Not every big name FA just the Best FA!
Funny thing coming from a warriors fan where in recent years you’ve signed some pretty heavy free agents for some cheap contracts. Lakers haven’t had too much success with this is in a long time other than bron
Lonzo is basically elfrid Payton, which is good but with rondo, lebron, Ingram all handling the ball it’s gonna limit his stats this year. And they probably will end up playing Caldwell pope, hart and svi more because they need guys who can shoot tonsosce the floor and those guys are better off the ball.
Kuzma is gonna be really good he is so skilled. Kuzma Ingram and lebron is a good start then if they can add another all star they will be a contender
