Sixers guard Markelle Fultz has returned to Philadelphia to continue his shoulder rehab with the team, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. There is still no timetable for his return, but he will be attendance for today’s game between the Sixers and Thunder.
Fultz, who was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome in early December, has been rehabbing in Los Angeles since the diagnosis, but now plans to continue his rehab at the Sixers’ team facility in hopes of an eventual return to action this season.
The Sixers have fielded several trade offers for Fultz this season, but it appears that the team remains interested in seeing how the 20-year-old fares throughout the course of his rehab before making a decision on his future with the team.
The No. 1 overall selection in the 2017 NBA Draft, Fultz has had a disappointing start to his young career, averaging a pedestrian 7.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per contest in 33 career games.
Comes back stinks it up. New diagnosis…. bubonic plague!
This is best said in haiku, but for now:
Trust the processed cheese.
As long as Kelle is like this he isn’t gonna be anything special in the NBA.
fultz hype was a product of the media – g league would best to rebuild his psyche
I actually forgot he was on the team until this article come out & I’m a 6ers fan smh
Right after Jimmy Butler made the go-ahead bucket, the camera pans over to Fultz cheering in street clothes part of the Sixers bench. Should have known they’d end up with an L after that.
PHL was sitting on Fultz leading up to that weird PHL-ATL-OKC trade this summer, so they were not looking at the involved Dennis Shroder. Too bad?– I could hardly recognize him, very calm & effective!
Your Jonah Bolden looked like something too. A Colangelo pick I must add, IDKY, to annoy?
I think Bolden was more Brett Brown than Coleangleo with the Aussie connection.
Doubt Schroder was ever in the Sixer’s plans. He was never a great shooter, esp from 3. The Sixers planned for Fultz to play the 2 along Simmons, b/c Fultz was a 41% 3pt shooter in college, they must have seen enough to think it would translate – which he can’t shoot a FT so… But I digress.
I wouldn’t mind it if we could get some info on what the Spurs actually were asking for in the Kawhi convos. If trading Fultz was the hang-up, I’d be pissed.
Yeah, and I want to know what they offered for Irving. Well if Popovich retires he needs to busy himself with a book!
Of course they’re going to hang on to him for now. It would be hard to imagine a former #1 overall pic in his second year in the league with a lower trade value. The Sixers might be able to get a rack of balls for him just now… better off seeing if something, ANYTHING positive can come from this.
