FEBRUARY 13: Thomas will return to the court and make his Nuggets debut on Wednesday, Wojnarowski confirms (via Twitter).
FEBRUARY 12: Isaiah Thomas could make his debut for the Nuggets as soon as Wednesday against Kings, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com reports.
Thomas, who signed a one-year deal with Denver during the offseason, underwent a hip procedure last year and was only able to suit up for a total of 17 games last season.
The point guard participated in five-on-five drills today and a decision on his status for the Kings’ game is expected to be determined early on Wednesday.
Denver sits just 2.5 games behind the Warriors for the lead in the Western Conference. It’s unclear what kind of role Thomas is expected to play for the remainder of the season, but the club has enough depth in the backcourt to bring him along slowly.
guy is a cancer, if i were playing as well as denver i’d keep this guy as far away from the floor as possible
Cancer aka “not a Lebron guy”
Huh? Dude willed Boston through the playoffs, stfu.
Over/under 5 games until he gets hurt again?
The depth in the frontcourt shouldn’t matter since Thomas is a guard.
Hah, typo’s been fixed, thanks.
I don’t know about a cancer. But way too many cooks in the kitchen for this Denver roster, they should be looking to tighten their rotation and lineup pairings, not throw another guard in there. Injuries play a part sure, but I hope they normalize the minutes for the healthy guys they have soon.
Yes whoever wrote the piece doesn’t know basketball. Isaiah is 5’9 a little short for the front court. There is no evidence the he is a cancer. He carried the Celtics while having a bad hip and after losing his mother. He has great heart!
Writer did not mention cancer or heart. I doubt anyone has revised their opinion of IT’s height.
Typos happen my guy
I hope that Boston pulls off an AD trade with Rozier getting signed and traded, and then they can bring IT back on a 2 year deal for the taxpayer MLE with a NTC, if he’s eligible, I’m not sure how NTC’s get handed out in the NBA I just know they’re rare.
I love it. I’ve wanted IT coming off the bench since he was here.
I just don’t think he will improve anything at this point. Thomas needs a lot of minutes and touches to be effective, the Nuggets aren’t built for him. I like him, and there are teams that would have been a good fit, but the Nuggets are a terrible fit for him.
I liked him better when he was with the Pistons.
Monte Morris is playing well. I don’t even see where Thomas fits in when Harris returns from injury.
Where’s Michael Porter?
