Markieff Morris, who recently signed with the Thunder, is still learning Oklahoma City’s playbook and he’s trying to make an impact while fitting in with his new squad.
“For me, you just want to be a help to the team,” Morris tells Maddie Lee of The Oklahoman. “You don’t want to come in and force things. You want everything to go smooth, how they went before you got here. So for me just getting acclimated to the offense and defense, playing with the guys.”
Morris has switched teams during the season once before. The Suns sent him to the Wizards during the 2015/16 campaign. The forward said he watches film on his new teammates in order to acclimate himself with his new squad.
Morris spent the first half of this season with the Wizards before suffering a neck injury. He was sent to the Pelicans in a trade for Wesley Johnson prior to the trade deadline.
Hate to be that guy, but I don’t know why this sort of thing is a post. This is a rumor site/portal built on potential rumors for player movement and transactions.
It’s an update on a player that recently signed with a new team speaking to potential fit. So it really does fit into a site built around trade rumors roster issues and much more. Also a site of this kind is going to do a lot of speculation and commentary, otherwise you get one post or so a day.
The relevance his comments have on further movement is incredibly minor. There is hardly anything of importance that came from what Morris said.
The HoopsRumor portion over the last few months have been posting some meaningless articles.
So glad I’m not the only one that thinks this lol. It’s like when you had to write a paper for school and you were squeezing out any garbage just to get enough words into your essay, no matter how useless it is, you get some credit for using enough words that have much ado about nothing. Haha
Is he active now? Also his “mid season trade” was literally the only time he was ever traded, dont make it sound like he is a pro at switching teams. If anything the fact he isnt running through teams like he is “insert nik stauskas/sean kilpatrick/isaiah canaan joke” is a good thing
I mean, Trevor Ariza switched teams the same amount since July 1st, that Markieff did his whole career.
And holy eff, Ariza’s last two teams are the only 2 Kieff played for before OKC.
I hope him and his brother don’t have a major hissy fit and cry for a year like they did in Phoenix. It was pathetic. Never has so much been written on 2 who do so little and I am Kansas fan.
