Free agent forward Markieff Morris has drawn interest from the Rockets, Lakers and Raptors, agent Rich Paul told Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.
Morris was dealt from the Wizards to the Pelicans last week and subsequently waived. He has not played since December 26 due to a neck injury, but was cleared to resume full basketball activities on Monday by spinal specialist Dr. Robert Watkins of Los Angeles, Haynes continues. He’s expected to decide which team to join this week, Haynes adds.
Morris, 29, has appeared in 34 games this season, including 15 starts, averaging 11.5 PPG and 5.1 RPG.
All of Morris’ reported suitors have open roster spots via deals made prior to last week’s deadline. They’re also playoff contenders seeking a rotation piece for the stretch drive and postseason.
The Lakers’ interest was previously reported, though they’ve also been linked to Carmelo Anthony.
Celtics forward Marcus Morris posted a tweet on Monday expressing his desire to become teammates with his brother again, as they had been in Phoenix. However, the Celtics have not shown any interest in making that happen, according to an NBC Sports Boston report.
I honestly don’t want the Lakers to get him. I feel like they are set at the 4 and 5. If they get him I’d feel bad for Chandler who chose the Lakers and they’ve given him less and less mins lately so if they get him Chandler really wouldn’t be getting any mins and yea I know he isn’t as good as he once was he’s still good enough to help the team out. I feel like there are better options to help the team. I actually would like to see Melo get signed even though most are gonna hate on the idea or if they are going to go after a big go after Kanter and make him and LeBron get along. Kanter is a beast and would really help.
When chandler is on the floor, it’s legit 4 vs 5 on offense since he is a massive liability on that end. Morris could play the 4 and stretch the floor a bit. I’d prefer him to play over someone like Muscala and would much rather have Morris than Melo
“I feel sorry for Chandler’s minutes so do not sign Markieff, but sign Kanter instead, who is the same position, better, and not injured.”

Um, what?
At which one of the three stooges comments?
I really hope at least one is trolling.
In truth, Lakers are last on Morris’ list.
The Beasley role is open.. play 26 minutes one game, then 26 minutes combined over his next 5..
Perfect role for melo on LBJ rest nights.
My comment was directed at the one that seemed to be writing in some type of Periodic Table language.
I kinda agree
Raptors Raptors Raptors

Huskier version of Wilson Chandler. Not a great 3pt shooter, below league average. But still a heads-up tough grinding player. Would be happy if he went to a team in the Western Conference instead of against the Sixers.
He’s most productive as a center on a non-contender, but can be a solid backup at a few positions.
He also has some type of neck injury.
I had the “pleasure” of watching the Morris twins when they played together in PHX. Any NBA team would be NUTS to put themselves through that.
The Suns suck at taking advantage of the talent they have. Barkley, KJ, Nash, Marbury, Kidd, Manning, Ceballos, Marion, Stoudemire, Green, Dragic, IT….list goes on.
They made the Finals with Barkley and KJ. Just because they couldn’t beat Jordan, like everyone else, doesn’t mean they didn’t take advantage of talent.
Not to mention that list isn’t that impressive compared to 2/3 of the rest of the league ‘s all-time teams.
Like am I supposed to to be impressed with non-top 10 players during their era? Marion, Dragic, IT , .. who’s green ? Lol
Cue the Rich Paul is his agent so it’s a conspiracy if goes to the Lakers negativity.
But truth be told I can c him going to the Raptors. Besides Siakam, Ibaka and Gasol they don’t really have any other bigs. He would fit on the second unit. IF he’s healthy enough.
