One of the wildest days in NBA history – or at least in the history of NBA offseasons – has come to a close.
As expected, a number of free agents decided not to waste any time reaching contract agreements when the free agent period officially got underway on Sunday night (or even a little earlier). The result was an action-packed day that saw more than half of our top 50 free agents of 2019 come off the board.
These deals aren’t yet official, so the reported terms could change — or agreements could fall through altogether. Generally speaking though, teams and players are on track to finalize these contract agreements sometime after the July moratorium ends on Friday.

And Melo is sitting on the banana boat all alone
well if sign melo a plan c for alot of teams.
I think there’s a spot for him in Ice Cube’s Big3.
I’m thinking that every team has finally realized that signing Melo never ends well.
been hearing all week about how sign and trades are rare and then we have 6 in one day… will 2019 be remembered as the year of the S&T?
They seem like afterthoughts, but are huge.
Everyone wants that trade exception
I was just thinking the same thing!
the lakers plan? not working!
Lakers are def signing Kawhi . It’s clear.
Excellent recap
Warriors really messed up. I didn’t know kd was a sign a trade. What a stupid move. They trade iggy and kd in the same day and only signed klay Thompson which is a good thing and now they are stuck with d’angelo Russell. Head scratcher moves.
The Lakers lost Russell and Randall a couple of years ago. Where the hell else would he go
Jesus, people like you are the reason I read comments. I always try to think that people like you are being sarcastic but I truly don’t think you are.
Knicks thought that they would “Knick” their way into big free agents. Nets decided to “work” their way to them. How do the Knicks go forward with this structure in the front office? How embarrassing.
By work do you mean mortgage?
What did Nets mortgage?? Russell?? anyone would want Kyrie over Russell. KI is better. Signing KD, Kyrie, DJ, and Temple while losing DLo, RHJ, and DeMarre Carroll is hardly mortgaging.
KD is injured…mortgage.
Understood, but granted that one of the Nets’ affiliated doctors performed the surgery, I think the Nets are confident in the future recovery of KD. I admit I was skeptical once he suffered this injury, but that may have been what helped the Nets get him. A KD at 80% is better than 95% of the rest of the players on NBA rosters. With over 500 players including 2-way contract players, that puts KD in the top 25 even if he’s not the dominant player he was.
Kings made two questionable moves in signing Dedmon and Ariza. Joseph and Barnes fit well but Dedmon can’t function in an up and down, space oriented offense. Ariza just takes minutes away from literally anyone else. He was a negative player last year. I don’t see the purpose of adding him.
if I was a kings fan I went into this offseason thinking ok we are about to get legit and after these moves …. idk I don’t see it working out well they really shat the bed this offseason IMO.
this was helpful, thanks.. i hope you do this each day!
Warriors screwed fakers by grabbing dlo. Their front court looks weak. Steve Kerr will show he can coach.
Why cant MLB free agency work this quickly?
Draft pick compensation. Same as the NFL. There are two FA periods for NFL. MLB draft is in June so that screws like a dozen players each year.
Porzingis-Dallas????
