From what I hear
Wiseman has worked out for Heat.
Riley likes Wiseman?
What does the deal look like?
I could see him dropping out of the top 10, but not all the way to 20.
Iguodala and (x) to GSW for Wiggins and the #2?
If Riley has given up having 2021 capspace because he wants to run the same team back, he can give it up now for Wiggins, then use bird rights go over to resign his FAs and carry on except with Wiseman &Wiggins instead of Iguodala and (x). Rejoining GSW would make Igudala happy. Also probably Wiggins, who would be under pressure to do his thing in Miami, score the ball, not just imitate Barnes on GSW; so what if not, he still has his max.
For GSW, they want everyone to know they are back chasing titles which Iguodala will represent forcefully, plus (x). For Miami, they appease Bam and get him to re-sign by getting a center so he can be a 4 and ramble. They can use Wiggins situationally if necessary and with Wiseman get enthusiasm for the middle of their 2-3 zone. They can’t use Bam there all season, he won’t like focussing there, his arm will start hanging again. He sees Giannis, thinks I could do that if only Spoelstra will let me. Possibly, Riley may have already promised him for the last run when he played the 5 and shot less.
I won’t be wrong about a promise made, if Riley gets another major center instead. But Riley probably planned for something similar with his 3-year contract to Iggy.
Alternatively, GSW could retool the Splash Bros. with Wiggins not Iguodala and firm up last years’ team with a couple adds including the #2.
Or, they could use their #2 and TPE for Iggy and Miami gets Wiseman.
It all revolves around the valuation of Wiggins. He is actually something of a negative, factoring in cap usage… but GM Meyers may not want to admit that… so far.
Okay, (x)? IDK, A current Miami asset. Okpala, Silva, Robinson?
