6:53pm: Dragic participated in pregame warmups but has been declared out for Game 4, Charania tweets. Adebayo will play, Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press tweets.
4:50pm: Dragic will warm up before Game 4 on Tuesday and see how his foot feels, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic (Twitter link). If Dragic can tolerate the pain, he’ll attempt to play.
3:39pm: Heat big man Bam Adebayo intends to return for Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday night vs. the Lakers, sources tell ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski (Twitter link). Adebayo has missed the past two games due to a neck strain, but he has made good progress in the last two days, tweets Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press.
Getting Adebayo back in the lineup would be a major boost for a Heat team that has been relying on Meyers Leonard and Kelly Olynyk to man the middle for much of the Finals. Olynyk has averaged 20.5 PPG during the last two games, while Leonard was a +13 in Miami’s Game 3 win, but neither player is the sort of dynamic two-way threat that Adebayo is.
While it sounds as if Adebayo will be back in Miami’s lineup on Tuesday night, there has been no update yet on starting point guard Goran Dragic, who is listed as doubtful due to his torn left plantar fascia and acknowledged on Monday that his chances of playing in Game 4 are low.
I wouldn’t expect Dragic to get the green light to play on Tuesday, and his status for the rest of the series remains up in the air, so the Heat will continue to lean on rookie Kendrick Nunn at the point.
Can’t wait to see lebron go off on jimmy tonight!
Yeah wait till ten sec are left. He’ll go off. Running off. I’m gonna see how long it takes you to run off. I’m here always here.
Al after game 4: “lakers in 5. bron cant b stopped. Unstoppable.”
Bron don’t need to be stopped. Just contained and better yet. Have Jimmy make him work on D. You do understand this. Or do I have to get my 6th grade teacher. My wife actually to explain it to you. But more important is having Bam give productive mins. AD showed he can be contained in gm3. With another big Like Bam. They need to just continue on that. Heat didn’t get enough credit for playing good team D. Like Jimmy said they rebounded. I give Heat a shot this gm. It’s going to be fun watching Bron come back. Lakers can’t lose this gm. So pressure is on them. Jimmy needs help. He can’t do it all again so soon. If he can just save himself or manage it. Till second half. They got a good chance. Like I said from beginning. I just want to see a good series. I am a big Jimmy fan
Bam 2 fouls and off the court aha hahahahaha bum
Bam can’t guard ad lol. 4 fouls lol trash
Bam is now being locked up by bron. Dude can’t shoot or make free throws
WHERE YOU AT AL?!
Looking forward to this game. I really think the Heat can pull this off. They have to be damn near perfect though.
I’m curious to see how effective he’ll be. Having bigs that can shoot the three (mainly Olynyk) gave the Lakers problems in the last two games.
If I were the Heat, I’d be extra cautious and keep Adebayo in the bench unless (until) things get ugly.
It’s a bad idea if he is not 100%…Miami has been doing a great job to hang around, if Bam is not game ready they are going to be playing 4 on 5 with risk of future injury to a core part of their roster…just seems like a big risk…I would just be rolling with those high screens and get under LeBron’s skin again
They don’t have a chance to win it. Or even make it a a great series without Bam. 75% is enough. Considering Olynyk n Leonard played well. Just having him in rotation will help. I just want to see a good series. Also like to see Nunn step up. This is his chance to show he is no fluke
Expect some hard fouls from Dwight Howard.
Can’t wait to watch these two guys rock the boat and sink their own team.
They’ve gotta start Leonard or Olnyk with one of Crowder or Robinson going to the bench. They need the extra size from the beginning
Lebron really hollered on that Herro shot that hit the backboard… too bad the camera director took a different shot, they were right there in front of the camera.
I think Bron was waking himself up, seems to be daydreaming, making turnovers, not in sync.
Rondo is a pleasure to watch. He can keep his options open on a decision until the last microsecond.
Some team that has a “third star” type who is tired of him, should trade him to the Lakers for Alex Caruso, who gets stuff done relentlessly.
The Heat wore their blues a lot in the RS but I think have always been black or white in Orlando. Too bad
I don’t care who you got. And I’m not one to talk about refs and NBA. But for Lakers to get their first foul at 3:39 of 4th Q. Is insane, Bron should of had 3 fouls by half time. He had none. He lie bridged Bam in front of ref. When it’s a good close gm. We don’t need the refs to be part of outcome. Bam got fouled a few times. Bron cries after Crowder stops his shit. And it’s like the protection agency came out for him. The guy was bigger than all five Heat players on court. And he’s going to floor and acting like he got gang Jumped. Really I expected Lakers to show up. And they did. Jimmy could have been more aggressive. Specially in the 4th Q. But I hate when it’s obvious the refs want attention. Personally I would have started Leonard and Bam. Let them know size don’t matter. Heat should really give their bigs more mins with Bam. The second shots killed the Heat. Rondo and Caruso killed them on that. At least 6 pts easy. You fix that and the fouls. Heat win or goes down to last shot. NBA is always looking out for their stars and product. I give Fakers credit. They showed up and played. They still got help, they didn’t need. I wanna know from all the Laker huggers here. What team can lose their leading scorer in playoffs. And be expected to win. Plus lose their best big man and be expected to win. Heat had a shot here. It would be a lot more fun for this to go seven. As it is. I see Heat coming back to win. But I see Lakers taking it in six. The gms need to be played. It’s no fun to expect teams to win. Heat are fith seed. The Lakers should be real proud. It’s the last one they will win in a long time. So enjoy it.
Blah blah blah all I’m hearing is excuses al. We aren’t the Knicks. Keep that same energy lakers going back to back.
Sorry about that the (i) is next to (o). I meant shot.
There are only facts. LA had 14 fouls. Heat had 21 fouls. Bron low bridged Bam in front of ref. No foul look at the tape. Lakers were called for 1st foul at 3:39 left in 4th Quarter. This everyone sees. Look it’s a close gm. Any advantage even it’s two calls. Goes a long way. Like I said, Lakers played to win. Bron was more aggressive. The bench played well. I have always said Lakers were favored. Don’t mean I can’t root for Heat. Losing two starters is not an excuse. Lakers Lose Bron or AD they get swept. Heat lost their leading scorer Drajic. And you think that’s an excuse. That’s very Homer of you. Enjoy the win. I think Heat will get one more.
So far you been wrong, so the basketball iq just isn’t there for you. I called that bam would be subbed out because he doesn’t space floor like olynik does. Said lakers in 5 from start and think it will be a close game but lakers are too great for heat.
Lakers win by 20 if they set AD up in the post more than once per game. Get to the line and score 40 free points if you just tried.
