The Kings have interest in free agent center Hassan Whiteside, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst said today on The Jump (Twitter link via Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee). James Ham of NBC Sports California confirms (via Twitter) that he has heard similar whispers, though he cautions he’s not sure how serious that interest is.
Here are more free agency rumors:
- Free agent center Derrick Favors is expected to have contact with his current team – the Pelicans – and his old team – the Jazz – as free agency opens, league sources tell Tony Jones of The Athletic (Twitter link). Other teams will also kick the tires on Favors, Jones adds.
- The Jazz are making re-sigining Jordan Clarkson their top priority in free agency, tweets Tony Jones.
- The Wizards are meeting with Davis Bertans as free agency opens, according to Chris Miller of NBC Sports Washington (Twitter link). Re-signing the stretch four has long been considered Washington’s top priority this offseason.
This is we’re the Jazz should be offering away Rudy Gobert and taking back Derrick Favours.
Rudy Gobert to the Nets plus a first round pick for Spencer Dinwiddie, T. Prince and Jarrett Allen.
Then the Jazz trade away Royce ONeales 8.5mil salary for next season in order to get Derrick Favours and build up a bench.
1. Dinwiddie. Conley
2. Mitchell.
3. Prince. Ingles
4. Bogdanovic.
5. Favours. Allen
That’s the main 8 man rotation and Mitchell leads a very solid team. Dinwiddie is a near all star point guard who can help run the offence. With Conley off the bench you have three good guard options. In the forwards you have Prince Bogi Ingles and in big line ups Favours. That’s a decent amount of spacing, great amount of experience and good amount of scoring and defence.
At centre you have Favours and Allen sharing this spot, both good defenders, both can rebound and score well.
Jazz then build out a little more depth and with the added youth, you’ve got a very strong team that will compete for many seasons
How are the Nets supposed to get Harden then?
