The Pistons have signed first-round picks Killian Hayes, Isaiah Stewart and Saddiq Bey, according to a team press release.
Hayes, a point guard from France, was the highest of those picks, going with the No. 7 selection. Assuming he received 120% of the rookie scale for his slot, Hayes will make $5,307,120 in his first season and can make $24,131,515 over the next four years if team options are exercised in the third and fourth seasons.
Stewart and Bey were acquired in draft night agreements. Stewart, a center, was chosen with the No. 16 pick. He’ll make $3,121,080 in his first year and can make $15,098,193 over the next four seasons.
Bey, a forward, was taken with the 19th selection. He’ll bring in $2,689,920 as a rookie and can make $13,030,303 over the next four seasons.
Guard Saben Lee, a second-round pick, was also inked. He will reportedly play on a two-way contract.
Excellent draft, Stewart is a PF. He can play small ball center. He’s and old school PF who can step out on D and O. He is absolutely capable of starting being a double double force. S Bey can start at SF now. He is a shooter who plays D. Solid team guy good size. Hayes is the youngster with huge upside. He’s a big PG, true PG. Who can score and get his own shot. Needs to go right. NBA will teach him to trust his right. Everywhere he’s been. He’s never needed to use it really. He will now. Halliburton is the most ready in this draft. Hayes 4-5 yrs down the rd. Could be better. Pistons had excellent draft. This is a great start to a Rebuild. Next yrs draft is best in yrs, deep. So get ready for Rose and Griffin getting moved. I would think OKC would love to have Griffin come home. Lead the team back to contention. And end his career there. OKC has plenty of picks. Rose and Griffin can bring back a nice haul. Future looks good in Detroit.
Thats why the Kings let Bogey go. They got a ton of cap flexibility now and they haven’t got any worse.
Rose & Griffin definitely are gone. Boston has a huge exception now so if Griffin establishes he’s healthy, Boston might make a move.
Their excention won’t cover his cost. Wish it would.
Exception
Even if their TPE was large enough to get Griffin, I doubt Boston wants him.
Can’t wait to see Detroit first round prospects perform on the court in the upcoming season
