Undrafted free agent swingman Anthony Lamb has reached an agreement with the Pistons, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports tweets.
It’s uncertain whether he’s receiving a training camp deal or if he’s signing a two-way contract. Detroit has a two-way slot available.
The 6’6” Lamb was a four-year starter at Vermont and the two-time America East Conference Player of the Year. Lamb averaged 16.7 PPG, 7.1 RPG, 2.5 APG and 1.2 BPG as a senior. During his college career, Lamb made 33.6% of his 3-point attempts.
He withdrew his name from the 2019 draft after working out for several teams.
What a waste of time…. this guy can’t even play center!
Only a few will understand that comment!
Still doesn’t mean it is not a lame joke. The pistons currently have 3 centers on their roster. And two of them can play PF.
While you are correct that there are only 3 centers on the roster, the Pistons had one center and acquired 5 more in the past week!
With that being said, I am in full agreement that it was lame. I apologize from the deepest depths of my inner most being and vow to try and never let it happen again.
Pistons have signed 3 former 1st round picks & 2 were top 5. They are also collecting some athletic young guys who will have 3 years to develop. It’s a good strategy.
they’re collecting wings
I have been watching him play since Freshman year in high school (my son played against him). While the Pistons are stacked with bigs (including other Rochester native Isaiah Stewart), with Lamb, you have a guy with a relentless work ethic, someone that is versatile (improving on the wing), and a player that is scrappy and makes others around him better. At Vermont, he was triple teamed every time he touched it, so being the 4th or 5th option should open up things for him.
