Giannis Antetokounmpo, who recently signed to a super max extension, believes the Bucks have a better roster this season, he told Eric Woodyard of ESPN and other media members.
“The Milwaukee Bucks this year, we’re good … we’re better,” Antetokounmpo said. “We have some great guys that we added to the team. They’re playing the right way, and once everything fits in together, we’re going to be good. It’s going to be fun to watch.”
The Bucks’ most noteworthy addition, Jrue Holiday, is averaging 18.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists through two games.
We have more from the Central Division:
- Garrett Temple is hopeful of playing this weekend, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago tweets. Temple has been sidelined after testing positive for the coronavirus in late November. Temple signed a one-year, $5MM contract with the Bulls after the Nets declined their team option on the veteran swingman. Chicago plays Indiana on Saturday and Golden State on Sunday.
- Kevin Love missed the Cavaliers‘ opener with a calf injury but he’s available for their first road game at Detroit on Saturday, according to The Associated Press. Love hasn’t played since the team’s first preseason game against Indiana on December 12, when he got kicked in the calf.
- The Pistons are signing guard Frank Jackson to a two-way contract. Get the details here.
My ranking in the East top 4 in the regulate season
1. Bucks – regular season coach, depth
2. Nets – the deepest bench in the nba
3. Heat – 20th pick Precious Achiuwa is good
4. Celtics – before using $20M TPE (hard capped)
Raptors are better than the Nets
I do not believe you actually watch basketball.
This guy thinks the best two teams in the NBA are the Raps and Rockets. Im convinced he’s watching sportcenter highlights from 2 years ago and thinks it’s current
I am a Raptors fan and no they are not
And Derozan is better than Harden
I like the Bucks a lot once they get pass that point where they can add the 15th player to the roster when the salary is pro-rated to the money they have left under the salary cap would love to see them add Isiah Thomas to the roster
The Bucks need another frontcourt player. Their back up center is Justin Patton! DJ Wilson is untested which leaves them with Bobby Portis as the main backup at this point. However, I have been pleased with DiVicenzo’s 1st two games and I hope that he is “making the leap” this year into a solid starter type of player
Someone needs to save Love from Cavs. Cavs should go full rebuild. Go younger. Imagine they take Wiggins for Love. That would be amusing. I bet they do it. Warriors throw in TWolves pick. Love is a much better fit in Warrior offense. Next yrs draft is the big one.
How about Wiggins and 2 unprotected 1st round picks to the Knicks for some combination of Julius Randle, DSj and Frank nkitina? Warriors cut luxury tax Bill, actually get better and maybe get a trade exemption too. Knicks then cut Wiggins.
Free Love! (In the BB sense)
Even if this is a good year for the Cavs, Love would probably want to contend for a title.
Is it … possible the Cavs may be decent? Garland Sexton Love Drummond w/ a little Larry Nance thrown in?
Realize this comment will most likely not age gracefully
Love would be one and half times better than he is right now if only the front office or coaches could get him to lose that hop step after rebounds. Whether it’s a make or miss or whether he gets the rebounds or somebody else does he hops instead of jogs and gives up countless baskets with lack of transition D and or lack of being apart of a break with us numbers.
Love’s hop step is equivalent to Westbrook’s 18 foot pull up. Without it both have plus trade value without there fatal flaws both would be the stars we want them to. Love also has this thing where he pump fakes but can’t drive and kick. He he could take 2 dribbles to the free throw line then he would be worth 20 million a season. Downside is even then he makes 30 million a season.
Love would be a good target for Miami if they really want to use their 2021 cap space. He would space the floor for them and could be a lethal combination with Bam. Butler could focus less on scoring and more on defending/facilitation. Their ball movement would only get better.
