Wizards center Thomas Bryant will undergo an MRI on his left knee Sunday morning, tweets ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Sources tell Woj that he suffered an “initially painful” injury in tonight’s game.
Bryant hurt his knee during the first quarter against the Heat and had to be helped to the locker room by trainers, tweets Chase Hughes of NBC Sports. The Wizards later announced that he wouldn’t return (Twitter link).
Bryant is off to a strong start to the 2020/21 season, averaging a career-high 15.9 points per game, along with 6.8 rebounds. The 2-8 Wizards are already short handed, as they are avoiding playing Russell Westbrook in back-to-back games and will likely be without Bradley Beal for at least a week due to contact tracing.
Worst record in the NBA, not a good start for the Wizards.
bruh
Yeah I didn’t think they’d be this bad. Bryant was playing man. This injury bug is crazy. Hope he’s good, nothing serious. If Wiz are headed for lottery. They just might move Beal. They will get a haul for him. And probably hurt Hardens value in trade. Worth watching this yr.
yea sure trade beal. they already got developing stars in deni and rui. might as well grab some vets to make da team better.
The Problem is the defense. Last year was the big problem too.
Offense is really good. Beal is the prototype of the wizards team. He can score to all position but don’t a little bit defense.
Wizards must Beal be traded. And Beal must to a strong defense team. But I don’t know which team brought Beal and have possible Assets.
I don’t think Nuggets, Sixers, Celtics, Clippers, Lakers, Bucks
It’s a really complicated situation
If Beal is traded I believe the possible destination would be Miami , Toronto , Indiana
MIA would have to gut the team, something like Herro, Robinson, Iggy, KO & multiple 1st round picks, so… an improvement, yes… but just complicated for WAS to take on so many players, Iggy & KO totally useless by the way! Don’t think so!
TOR hasn’t got anything at all to offer… maybe Siakam… but WAS has Avdija & Rui, so… Don’t think so!
Now, IND that is more interesting, right?
VO & Turner + some draft compensation for Beal & a salary filler… now that is really interesting for the Pacers at least: Brogdon, Beal, TJ & Domas… wow that is an elite team for sure!… only problem is, not so good for WAS, can’t see them taking that, right?
