Veteran NBA center Kosta Koufos has signed a deal to suit up for Olympiacos B.C. in Greece, the team announced in a press release. Koufos spent last season with CSKA Moscow in Russia.
Koufos, soon to be 32, has spent 11 seasons in the NBA, last suiting up for the Kings during the 2018/19 campaign. In 42 games during that season, Koufos averaged 3.7 PPG and 4.2 RPG.
In 686 regular-season games, Koufos has posted career marks of 5.7 PPG and 5.0 RPG for the Jazz, Timberwolves, Nuggets, Grizzlies, and Kings.
In 17 games for CSKA Moscow last season, Koufos averaged 3.7 PPG and 2.8 RPG in 9.5 minutes per contest.
Kosta Koufos is only 32? Man it seems like he has been around forever. If someone had told me he was 50, I would have believed them without question.
Doesn’t help that he has always looked like a middle-aged man
For some more important & relevant news, sorry Kosta, but Pau Gasol has agreed 3 hours ago to go back to FC Barcelona until the end of season to get in his best shape possible for the Olympics, but I do hope the games get cancelled anyway, is nice for Pau to end where it all began, right?
Always good this feel good, full circle stories in sports or life!
It has been almost 3 years since Pau was still relevant to the NBA.
You hope the games get canceled? What a H8r! Smdh! Smh!
Games ain’t important, not in the middle of a worldwide pandemic that is for sure!
Hater not, just I care about important things & in international hoops the world cup is much more important than the games, which are of a much lesser level of competition, hence not much point in risking guys for it… for the rest of the events, not that much interest, doping & other corruptions, specially from the IOC just puts me off of it all together, right?
The Olympic Games haven’t really been important since the 80s (and probably longer) regardless of a pandemic.
Important to whom, you? What a moronic thing to say. Of course they’re important or they wouldn’t spend billions of dollars putting them on. Go say that to the face of an Olympian.
I’ll wait.
I’ll say that to the face of anyone. I have never been afraid to share my opinion with anyone. Ratings for the Olympics are nowhere what they used to be. In general, people’s attitudes toward the Olympics are not what they used to be either. A lot of the cities that spend those billions of dollars are left in financial ruin after the Games have completed. Just look up what happened to Athens.
I realize you are probably 15 and don’t know about any year that started with a 19, but I do. In the 80s, the Olympics were a much bigger deal than they are now.
If you want to equate television ratings to importance then I guess The Big Bang Theory reruns must be the most culturally significant event in US history. Lol I bet you even like that show.
The financial ruin has nothing to do with the popularity of the games. It is the event itself as well as mismanagement by the cities running it. If you are not a major metropolitan area that is used to handling giant events, then yeah, it’s gonna be a real challenge, probably more than you realize.
Just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean it’s not meaningful. And yeah, I’d like proof you said it to an Olympian.
This may give rise to legal ramifications.
He should have signed in INK !!
