Already missing Damion Lee due to the NBA’s health and safety protocols, the Warriors have now placed swingman Kent Bazemore in those protocols as well, tweets Anthony Slater of The Athletic.
According to Slater (Twitter link), Bazemore is expected to be out for the next seven days, which suggests he may have been a close contact of someone who tested positive for COVID-19. Bazemore confirmed in a tweet that he didn’t test positive for the virus himself.
It’s possible that the person with whom Bazemore had contact was Lee, since his expected absence of 10-14 days suggests he may have tested positive for the coronavirus. In any case, Golden State will have to get by without both players for the next few games, potentially forcing the team to further shorten a rotation that has already been hit hard by injuries.
In addition to being without Bazemore and Lee, the Warriors are, of course, missing Klay Thompson and James Wiseman, who previously suffered season-ending injuries. Eric Paschall is out with a left hip flexor strain, while Juan Toscano-Anderson has missed Golden State’s last two games due to a concussion — he’s listed as questionable for Friday’s game vs. Denver.
If Toscano-Anderson is unavailable tonight, the Warriors would be down to 10 healthy players. The Warriors figure to lean on Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre for big minutes on the wing, while Mychal Mulder could take on an increased role. Players who have been out of the rotation, such as Gary Payton II and Nico Mannion, could also see some action.
It sounds like they’re almost as beaten up as the Nets have been.
And they’re still 10 games behind the Nets. How is that even possible?
Strength of Schedule, played-to-date, is part of the reason. Per most websites the Nets have played one of the cushier and easiest schedules. In fact the website below claims the Nets have played the easiest schedule:

Dubs have also played 5 more Road games than Home games, but that will change soon. Time for some home cooking.
But our Schedule is not the full reason of course, we have choked away a handful of games and last minute collapses this year.
Playing in the tougher conference and they have been more beaten up than the knicks. They have 7 players out right now.
Huge oversight by NBA and ownership: vaccination not required for players.
Hard-breathing infected athletes, indoors

These players who are in protocol have been in contact with people who tested positive. I’m guessing almost all of the players themselves (and coaches, trainers, etc.) have been vaccinated so the problem here is coming into contact with those who are infected even if the player was vaccinated.
The scariest thing is that Lakers will be 6th or 7th seed
I’d love to see Lakers vs Clippers First Round
Knock them out, man
Knock them out
They got to be leading the league with players out per game. They better use their extra roster space and sign Spellman with a 10 day contract.
Who is bigger now, Spellman or Big Baby Davis
I like 360-pound players very much
Body width is longer than body length
It’s important to occupy the paint
360 pounds NBA players????? Wrong sport Sillivan.
The Rockets have had more players out per game than the Warriors have.
Houston leads the league in the number of different starting lineups and is tied for the league lead with 18 different players having made at least one start. Everyone on the team has missed at least 9 games except for Tate.
And Houston has half the talent of GS. And that’s being generous.
Next 5 seasons
Rockets are more like Timberwolves than Pelicans
Pelicans have better future
Wiggins is the only player on the warriors that has played in every game. Thompson missed the whole season. Chris missed all but 2 games. Wiseman missed 20 games, Curry 8, Oubre 6, Green 8, poole 21, Mulder 12, Looney 11, JTA 19, Pascal 20. Bazemore and Lee were the only 2 players not missing more than 2 games. Almost 250 games missed by GSW players.
And Houston has HALF the wins that Warriors do. Besides Lakers/Warriors/CP3/Russ, do you even watch NBA, or is this some sort of sick and demented postings you have in your schtick? Now it’s getting old, and not even funny anymore. Quite sad.
Houston is clearly rebuilding though. Warriors…are tanking? Trying to make the playoffs? They seem to have about as much of an identity as the Pelicans.
If only Oubre was out too, Warriors might be forced to put their highest IQ team on the floor more often
Looney-Green-Toscano-Wiggins-Curry
They will win more if that lineup plays. Bazemore is hurting this team more than helping.
