All-Star Suns point guard Chris Paul will miss his second straight game of the team’s Western Conference Finals matchup against the Clippers on Tuesday, tweets John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM.
Gambadoro notes that Paul is still in the NBA’s health and safety protocols after testing positive for COVID-19.

The club won its first game in the series on Sunday, 120-114, largely on the strength of a 40-point triple-double from Paul’s All-Star backcourt mate Devin Booker.
This marks just the second time in Paul’s 16-year career that the 11-time All-Star has earned a conference finals appearance. In the playoffs thus far, the 36-year-old is averaging 15.7 PPG, 8.7 APG, and 4.1 RPG in 31.2 MPG. He boasts a stellar shooting line of .509/.444/.912.
Suns are done.
Just kidding, Suns look real good with or without Paul. By the time he comes back they’ll be ready to get over the hump.
For the record though, seriously I’m picking the Clippers to win the series.. I think they’re stronger at this point.
Clippers should be favored. It took an amazing game from Booker for the Suns to win the first game. If LA gets Kawhi back, they’ll be tough to beat.
Gary, does your opinion change if Kawhi misses the entire series?
Have to stay with my pics from the beginning. Nets in the East and that didn’t work out but oh well that was my pic. In the west I said either the Clippers or the Lakers because I thought every other team had too many flaws or more flaws than the Clippers and the Lakers. So I’m still alive there.
I just think the Clippers veterans will get it done and when Paul comes back Beverly and Rondo will drive him nuts. Plus I think Phoenix is too young, this is their first roll through here and they’re going to be a force to be reckoned with next year for sure.
Of course it should, but who knows how long CP3 will be out too.
I feel for Paul. Either he’s got it or he doesn’t. let the man play.
Hopefully he gets cleared soon. Lifelong Suns fan and this year seems like the best chance at a title since the Nash years
What if it turns out that the Suns didn’t need CP3 to win, but just needed the confidence of having CP3 on the roster?
It’s The 30% Iron Chef storyline!
This will be the fourth WCF game he has missed out of 9 that his team has played in.
How many games did harden miss?)
Kawhi has to be more hurt than what they are saying. I hope he’s good. But it’s not looking good. Wonder why a vaxed player tests positive. Chris got no luck. Suns have some good young talent. Booker and Ayton are the future and are Real. Ayton came in as a big offense talent. Yet he doesn’t force anything. And plays solid D. And still gets his stats. I like his gm a lot. But Booker has picked up plenty from CP3. He’s in control and just taking what they give him. He’s made the gm look easy. Like real stars do. And he’s got that outside touch. He’s playing right now. It’d be cruel to do this without Chris. Hate to see two stars go down in such an important series.
“I wonder why a vaxed player tested positive” probably because the vaccine doesn’t make you immune. This is pretty common knowledge.
Just don’t even bother. If we have lived all our lives with vaccines and people still don’t understand how they work, they are hopeless.
