Stons got a great one! Nice choice Cade is that deal!
CBS grade
Warriors draft Kuminga A+
Warriors draft Moses Moody A+
Completely based on potential
One thing I’d never understand is that
How can Mobley and Suggs draft ahead of Kuminga?
Except corner 3
G league 3 point line 23.9 feet
College 3 point line 22.2 feet
3 pointers
My field goal g league 12%
My field goal college 30%
FG
My free throw 89%
My mid range 78%
As a Pistons Fan. So glad we won’t have to face Green in the division!
The Mavs, Spurs, Grizzlies, and Pelicans are all going to see him 4 times a year for the next decade plus. One has to almost feel bad for them.
Ia this being updated live?
Yes
Thanks bud
Yes, the plan is to add picks here as soon as they’re reported by a reliable source (I’ve updated the first few picks as they were officially made to ease into things for those who don’t want “spoilers”).
Your the man Luke, but you already knew that.
Raptors …. Mistake
Or was it? Maybe Lowry’s not leaving after all. I wonder what the Magic do now, they don’t need another PG. And yet, they need everything.
Why would Lowry stay lol. To develop Scottie. Get off the drone. Lowry is 35 he wants to go out in a Finals gm.
He’s got the ring. At this stage, he could do what he wants, even stay at Toronto if he wanted to.
Otherwise, way to put my foot in my mouth with that Magic take. Then again, it’s the Magic.
His career is ending. A nice career at that. He’s not going thru rebuilding lol. I’m sure he’d rather be in Philly. But that’s not an easy fit. I think he’s going to Heat
He would stay (maybe) because they have his bird rights and can give him a bigger bag.
He’s gonna be a great defender for them and they needed a legit big. He was consensus at 5, so not a big stretch, but not the pick I would have made.
Orlando has a hot commodity right now. They don’t need a PG, but could get a couple of nice assets right now.
Unless they end up trading him, Orlando just messed up. They have Fultz, Anthony, and now Suggs. It won’t work. You are going to waste at least one of those guys and maybe all three.
When your the magic you take best player avalible. I just hate that he is going to a team with literally nothing going for them.
I totally disagree wuth the BPA strategy for a team like the Magic. They have one position that is strong, just one. Draft ANY position but that one and you are fine. The 2nd BPA is not that much worse and will fit your team much better,
Fultz could miss most of the season, though. That buys them a bit of time at least.
I think Suggs could work at the 2 for the time being. Fultz is no sure thing with his injury history and this gives Orlando a replacement for Ross if he gets dealt
Suggs is big enough to play there, but also he should be able to brush aside Fultz and Anthony for starting floor general.
Scary pick at Barnes
Scary!
Magic …. Smart move. Suggs is a real PG with size. Good pick Magic.
Lol… the Magic. So, Hampton Fultz Anthony and now Suggs?
They going to go with an all point guard lineup and run MCW out there too?
OKC doesn’t take Kuminga. They are lost.
yup, Barnes is a real head scratcher of a pick, but not as bad as Suggs to Orlando.
Why they need a real PG. They can move Anthony for value. Suggs is a real PG with size and plays both ways. Not many in NBA like him
Wow Giddey goes 6
I saw boards with him 10+ I couldn’t believe that one.
andrew bogut made the pick for gsw.
OKC might just be trying to join the Big 12 to replace Oklahoma.
Best post on draft day, congratulations!
Scary
Giddy at 6
Giddey? What?
More like Groban.
Love this kid. But never ahead of Kuminga. He’s got a bright future. This can mean SGA is gone.
No way Warriors passing on Kuminga. He can start for them next yr.
Or package him. A Kuminga Wiseman trade deal … lot if upside there for a team looking to rebuild
It rarely works to acquire just for a future trade, unless it’s already been worked out. Gotta like a player for your own team.
At some point you have to realize that the Warriors have been in rebuild mode for awhile.
If I’m the thunder I’m picking kuminga over giddey
Okc gotta pick kuminga there man
Man I feel bad for Suggs. Could have gone to Toronto and ended up in Orlando
I thought Golden State was smarter than this..
This ain’t the Process. Go cry for Tatum somewhere else.
Exactly. It’s not the process. They needed a win-now guy or a trade. Maybe they wanted high upside for a future trade.
Magic are rebuilding lol. Try and keep up. You serious
@Al: the talk is about GSW?
I’m not crying for Tatum anywhere nor have I ever? I just don’t see Kuminga being a good player at all. I don’t see it at all.
And that seems to be the overwhelming opinion from league executives and insiders so I’ll continue to share that opinion.
Could be traded by the end of the night. not the pick I assumed they would take but this could be a pick that is flipped to another team.
That’s my thought as well. Probably too raw to help next year. But has more trade value than someone like Green just bc he has the highest ceiling of maybe anyone in the draft.
Yeah really . Who the F cares about suits. You know ball or you don’t. The last dynasty the Warriors just took him. He’s been Projected all yr as a top 5 pick. You need writers to tell you what to think. OK.
Then you don’t want knowledge from me. So go read about him. I can tell you what I see. Not what I’ve read lol
MF gift lols. Freakin great pick for them. They could just go with their picks now. Great outcome for Warriors.
Kuminga lives in San Francisco
He does not need to relocate
Wiggins + Kuminga >>> Simmons + Maxey
Lol. This comment is a JOKE
Sadly not
lol. Wiggins and Kuminga aren’t better then Simmons and maxey. U guys in here should just stop talking basketball.
Simmons is a joke, and a very sad one at that.
Is Bouknight gonna fall to Memphis for real?
Not a Wagner guy. He’s going to take awhile. He’s not elite NBA athlete. He needs a system. I won’t hate but I think it will take years.
Bouknight is for real Kings not passing on him.
… and they did.
Yeah Fox, Halliburton, Mitchell. I don’t even get paid. Yet I’m better than half these idiots. And I’ve been saying it for months. The proof is in this site
I think everyone on this site could do better than Sacramento’s front office.
Mitchell is fine, but they already have a mini-might with Fox. Error
Enough with the cocaine high. Bouknight looks like another Jeremy Lamb.
TBH, When I saw the Mitchell pick,
I was thinking Fox to Philly; Simmons to Sacramento.
If nothing else they’d be great on D.
I sure hope Memphis somehow ends up with Bouknight
Me too, been watching like a hawk. Kings crazy too so who knows.
Ok, Kings. What now?
I would trade Mitchell and Haliburton over Wiseman and Kuminga 100 times out of 100.
Second year in a row the Kings took the guy the Warriors NEEDED to take. God the GSW FO is so damn miserable at their jobs, wtf.
They really saying Kuminga, Smiley, Nico and Wiseman is who they get to play with Curry. Pain.
I’m praying to get Moody at 14 now…
Update: whew, we got Moody.
Nico is doing a good job for team Italy. I still think a trade will happen for Kuminga. I get the feeling they picked him for a trade.
That didn’t age well that went with Mitchell, I knew they count resist a star name. I hope my Grizzlies are smart and take Bouknight he would be the steal of this draft.
I view Kuminga as top 3 talent on this draft
He is 10 months younger than any of the lottery picks
They are all young, his game is way too messy way too many holes. He is a name not a top 3.
Chris Duarte is about 6 years older than Kuminga
I don’t expect Josh Primo becomes a lottery pick
8 points 3 Assists per game in Canada
Really after Halliburton really. Kings are idiots. You just drafted the next great PG. So now you need another PG. wETF are you trading Fox. No wonder Kings suxxx
You’re surprised? I’d be shocked if Sac started using logic
Pelicans got it wrong as usual
Pelicans picked for Grizzlies
It’s actually Memphis’s pick due to the Bledsoe/Adams deal.
Good because that pick made no sense for NO
Doesn’t much for MEM either.
Hollinger thinks they traded up for Giddey and had to adjust.
Memphis done messed up!
How is Bouknight still there
These GMs are outright rediculas. Sometimes the obvious choice is the right choice. Memphis paid so much to get a guy who wasn’t even projected in the lottery when Bouknight was available ugh
Why has bouknight fallen??
He hasn’t really fallen, this was about where he was slated before the combine where he rose. Teams just didn’t buy the incredible combine performance.
Because of the contests he was in?
I really like Trey Murphy
I hope Warriors select him
MJ done got super lucky two years in a row.
Bouknight to Charlotte is a steal man!
Now Hornets should of took Kai. He’s got great upside as a big. OK ……. Yet they took a SG. NYer we know Ball., he’s from NY. This kid is best 2way player in draft. Remember me cause I will remind you.
Remind me now with what you’re talking about.
Primo is way too high. This kid is young. So this a lottery pick with prayers here. Not even worth commenting now.
Dang, Pacers took Duarte. Looks like the Knicks will have to reassess their plans.
I’m betting the Pacers took Duarte to trade. Either to Atlanta or NY.
19 and 21 for Duarte? Plus a second maybe?
Moses Moody to GS makes too much sense
GSW sat still like I thought and things worked out… Kuminga and Moody… assuming one likes wings, and that is Myers’ rep.
Not a big Duarte fan. But I do believe he can be a rotation guy next yr. Rather have Murphy. I doubt he lasts to us. Gotta a feeling it’s McBride. But would want Murphy.
Yes Murphy shoots all lengths well… Have to believe that will continue.
I wonder if Duarte is older than even 24.
God damn it Shams! Stop with the spoilers!
Lol they got the pick 4 minutes before its “in”
As a spurs fan I can’t help but disappointed. Josh Primo??? Like not only is he not a position of need, as we have tons of guards, but losing wing players and have a lack of competent bigs, but he is a terrible reach. Like way too raw of a player. I don’t even know I would’ve taken him in the second round, much less first. And we always could’ve traded down, but no, let’s waste a pick. Extremely frustrated, I hope spurs know what they are doing. But I feel terrible knowing we had Kai Jones and Sengun there
Well complained
Not a big Moody guy either. But he’s ready to help next yr. Kuminga and Moody are guys who add depth and play next yr. It’s looking like Warriors might not make a trade tonight. Probably happens during season or trade deadline. Kuminga can start with Green and Wiseman next yr. I actually like what they are doing. Backing their players now.
Rip Clarke
Nice gesture by the league here.
What a move by the NBA. Incredibly classy.
Warriors Reporters want Mitchell and Kispert
I don’t want them because of potential
What Warriors reporters?
So, 2 lottery protected picks from Houston, the Pistons and the Wizards pick, to OKC for #16? I’ll take it! Wished for Usman Garuba though, getting Clint Capela vibes off of the guy.
They got both Sengun and Garuba, what a draft!
Good move by Rockets. He’s got a future. Not a big star guy. But a guy who gets it done. Nice move
The Dubs just got 2 good prospects. I like the Giddy fit with SGA. Unpopular take… But I like Suggs to Orlando. Makes Cole the 6th man which is really his best fit, and moves Fultz to the off guard. And Bouknight with LaMelo…. Common now. Also means Rozier is probably up for sale and Graham is gone.
It’s all about potential
Trade value = potential
Giddy will help OKC fans get over losing SGA. Get Giddey! Got Giddey.
If Bucks why trade pick 31 were you can get a player who could be a decent guy off the bench for two end of draft picks of players who might not even make the roster?
Knicks will probaly have J Johnson avaliable. Hope we take him
Wanted Trey big time. Good pick by Pels.
Please basketball gods. I’m praying. J Johnson to Knicks
I was hoping for Murph so much, man! But i will be happy w JJ
He’s there. They better take Johnson. Can’t Freakin believe it. Just like tToppin fell to us. Jalen can start for us next yr. Please …….
good news, Johnson might still be there at 21 because the Knicks traded your pick
Masai is still trying to find his giannis. Ever since he missed out on him in 2013 hes been drafting guys in a similar mold to him.
Barnes= Baby GA
He passed on Giannis cause he didn’t scout him Masai ain’t a genius
Freakin serious lols
I’m pissed
That has to suck for you. Not only did your team trade the 19, but the guy you wanted went at 20 when your team had 21.
We argue a bit on here, but I really feel for you about this situation.
Makes no sense lol
Great for Hornets lols.
Means McBride at 21
I think it will be Isaiah Jackson.
Looks like I missed it by one pick
I SOOOOOOOO hope the Hawks grab Jalen Johnson right here. Somehow the boy just fell in our laps. We gotta strike
I dont believe we passed on J Johnson, omg, thats bad
Fxck wit my Hawks rn!!!!!!
Jalen Johnson’s fall is very reminiscent of Harry Giles fall a couple years ago. Big time HS recruit, college disappointment, NBA bigger disappointment? Time will tell.
People will regret this. This kid got game. Dumb move by Knicks.
Hornets officially won this draft, that is all.
I feel like my Knicks are the biggest losers so far. Passed on Jalen Johnson to trade 19 for a first rounder that could potentially be worse than 19. Then trade Keon Johnson at 21 for the 25th pick and a worthless second rounder. All of this after attempting to trade up and failing.
I agree and thats so sad to say. What a terrible draft for us
I have to say that the Thunder have not exactly been great tonight so far. The last thing they needed were two PGs out of their two picks, but two PGs that were picked WAY higher than projected. Actually I take that back, the last thing they needed was to turn one of their three picks into even more draft picks.
Yeah, the Thunder were not great, but they have the luxury of gambling considering their 500 first rounders over the next five years.
Nah my Memphis are, they gave the real value and took on freaking Eric for a guy who could have went at their previous spot.
Man Memphis did even worse. They traded into the last pick of the first round and picked a guy not even mocked in the second round. They could have gotten the same guy buying a pick in the 50s on the cheap.
Never said Griffin wasn’t clever. Pels would not seem to need a forward like Trey Murphy but it leaves plenty of room in the offense to find for optimal Zion.
You spelled Hawks wrong
You mean he spelled Houston wrong.
Like what Hornets did.
2021 Usman Garuba = 2006 Chuck Hayes
McBride is only thing that can save us. FA must be the way. Knicks must have guys locked up. To pass on this talent. This is Thibs not wanting young guys. Unreal. Not happy right now.
2021 Josh Christopher = 1986 Vernon Maxwell
2021 Quentin Grimes = 1995 Voshon Lenard
lol, give us more. Who’s the 1989 Blue Edwards? How about the 2004 Beno Udrih?
2021 Rokas Jokubaitas = 2004 Beno Udrih
There we go. Keep em coming.
He’s a shooter and scorer. I like it. But I’m still pissed. Grimes is ready to help next yr. we still got pick 32. I’m going to need time to grasp this. We had three pucks for this. Like Grimes did I say that.
Excited to c Jalen Green and Josh Christopher going to the Rockets. Alittle Las Vegas AAU team flash backs right there!! But also like Sengun and getting Garuba. They might of just done well for themselves. With Martin and Porter that’s a solid young core if they can develop them.
2021 Cam Thomas = 2008 Marcus Thornton
I liked interviews with Jalen Suggs and Isaiah Jackson. IJ reminds me of McGee except hopefully breathes better. Suggs of a QB!— which he was. I take back previous snarking. I really just wanted Mobley at #3 and Cavs got him!
2021 Jaden Springer = 1991 Robert Pack
Pick 32 has to be McBride….. please
Miles McBride is good, Sharife Cooper is better
2021 Day’Ron Sharpe = 2006 Andray Blatche
How many young PGs does Philly need? I doubt they’re getting Lowery.
Rockets drafted multiple gadget players.
Hornets drafted multiple soft players.
The draft looks 22 deep; Hollinger predicted 23.
Knicks looked okay with 19 & 21 but only wound up with Grimes. I wonder what the selling point for all those calls was.
2021 Isaiah Todd = 1994 Alan Henderson + 2018 Trey Lyles/2
Knicks trading down (again), its becoming kinda funny
Trading 32 for 34 and 36 is not bad.
Not at all. I liked a lot. Hoping for McBride and Petrusev
Not bad guesses, you did get McBride and a Russian named guy. So pretty close.
2021 Jeremiah Robinson-Earl = 1994 Brian Grant
Another trade …. Really
McBride please show you know what I know
You finally got one you wanted…congrats.
Yes finally someone who can help next yr. is that too much to ask for lol.
You still have free agency and a little more cap room without the 19 and 21 salaries.
Yeah your right.
2021 Jason Preston = 1980 Rory Sparrow
Jokubaitas = Udrih
2021 Herbert Jones = 2013 Terrence Jones
Really is he playing next yr. Don’t get this. Who TF is in charge here lols. Sad day
2021 Miles McBride = 1995 Charlie Ward
Really lol. Charlie wasn’t an offense guy. Try and. Catch up
McBride is gonna be a defense 1st guy in the league similar to Ward
He’s a shooter. You can look it up today. You don’t need me to tell you. He’s a 2 way guy with potential to be a gm manager. It’s a solid pick thank god.
Charlie Ward was a game manager & a tenacious defender just like McBride will likely be. They’re not the same person but very similar. Ward was the starting of during the best time in recent Knicks history, u should be happy if McBride turns into Ward
Charlie had a bunch of deficiencies but I loved him. Loved those Knicks teams
2021 JT Thor = 2003 Zarko Cabarkapa
2021 Ayo Dosunmu = 1984 Doc Rivers
absolutely not.
Ayo is good pick for Bulls. I like him.
FINALLY! A second round pick that hadn’t been traded was made. As of right now 28 of 30 second rounders have been traded at least once and a lot of them were traded multiple times.
41 Spurs and 45 Celtics are the only ones not traded.
Not exactly earth-shattering analysis, but kind of cool.
“As of right now 28 of 30 second rounders have been traded”
haha, that is a GREAT stat. Incredible.
I have Jared Butler at 20
He goes to 40
He is only 21 years old
Aw man. It was just sitting there for the Celtics to pick Brandon Boston and they passed.
Dosunmu falling to the Bulls. I like it!
WOW… Hawks have our choice of Sharife Cooper or Charles Bassey at pick 48! I’ll be happy with either guy. Hopefully we keep it rolling & grab 1 of those 2 guys
Wellcome home ayo…bye bye arch… Damn… I though ayo will be late 1st rounder
2021 Atlanta Hawks = future dynasty
You really need to get a grip lol. Support your team. But it’s not a guarantee.
If u have interest in the NBA u might wanna start paying attention to these Hawks lol u clearly haven’t fully realized what’s going on with this team. And it’s crazy bc of what just happened to your team in the playoffs
Let’s make sure they don’t act cheap during free agency, some of these owners would rather lose. With that said they are going to be something real special, heck they already are.
You need to win one first before claiming dynasty…
2021 Sharife Cooper = 2020 Darius Garland
Ayo is a nice get. No doubt.
Who is Rokas and why did we take him. Don’t know anything about him.
Apparently he was part of the first league LaMelo Ball played in Lithuania and scored 31 points on him. He would have probably never been seen had the Balls not gone there. Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good.
His team played in the euroleague not just Lithuania and now he signed with Barcelona
Well my three Kentucky players (counting Clarke) have now been drafted. Indiana usually doesn’t pick up UK players, but New Orleans always does. So it’ll be one new team to watch this year. Good luck everyone.
I didn’t realize you were a fellow UK fan Hiflew, I’m hoping for a nice bounce back this year for the Wild Cats.
wieskamp to the spurs. muscatine iowa represented. go spurs. ayo illini to chicago, awesome. and now i have to root for brodie on the lakers sucks. garza to the pistons is phenomenal.
I bet Daishen Nix wishes he would have went to UCLA now.
Somebody please wake up the Minnesota Timberpuppies 2021 NBA Draft contingent and tell them that the draft is over and they need to go home.
I think the Hornets and the Clippers had some of the best drafts tonight
