The Hawks will have Trae Young available for tonight’s Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals, tweets Sarah K. Spencer of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The star guard missed the last two games with a bone bruise in his right foot.
Young has been outstanding in the series when he has been on the court, averaging 32.7 points and 6.0 assists while shooting 47.9% from the field. He suffered the injury in Game 3 when he accidentally stepped on an official’s foot.
Atlanta’s season will be on the line after dropping a 123-112 decision Thursday night in Milwaukee. The Bucks will be still without Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has been ruled out with a hyperextended left knee.
Bogdan Bogdanovic, who has been plagued by soreness in his right knee throughout the series, will also be available, Spencer adds (via Twitter).
Very nice!
Bone bruises don’t heal anywhere close to that quickly. He’s either being shot up with a lot of pain killers or he’s gonna gut it out. On the bright side, I don’t think he can hurt it any more.
Probably a little of both. I’m sure Giannis being out was a huge factor
Are you a doctor?
Looks like everything is going the Suns way right now, how many more games will Giannis miss?
I read earlier today that he could have been available for game 7, had Atlanta managed to win tonight.
If he was/is that close to being able to play, I would assume he’ll be available for game 1 of the finals, barring a setback.
Hawks had a great year. Are in position to make a major upgrade. Their picks have grown up n showed. Their FA signings have worked well and look good right now. McMillan has been godsend. Congratulations to Hawks. They are young n good. Got nowhere to go but up. Bucks finally stepped up with No Giannis. They showed they are a good team. Good to see Holiday, Brook, have nice gms. This team can still compete without Giannis. If they show their Cojones. Id rest him for as long as I could. No need to risk his career. If he can’t go then you just go for it. I still see a competitive series.
