The Nets are interested in signing free agent center Isaiah Hartenstein and would also be interested in Kevin Love if the Cavaliers buy him out, according to Brian Lewis of the New York Post.
Hartenstein became an unrestricted free agent when he declined a minimum-salary player option and the Cavaliers subsequently didn’t submit a qualifying offer to him. He was traded last season by Denver to Cleveland, where he averaged 8.3 PPG, 6.0 RPG and 1.2 BPG in 17.9 MPG.
The Nets and Cavs were among the teams who watched Hartenstein work out in Las Vegas this month.
Love and the Cavs have reportedly made some progress toward a buyout, but are not close to finalizing an agreement.
In any instance, Brooklyn would need to open up a roster spot to fit in Hartenstein and/or Love. The most likely candidate to go is center DeAndre Jordan, who could be bought out, waived, or possibly traded if the Nets are willing to attach an asset. Forward Alize Johnson, who has a non-guaranteed deal, is another possibility. The date for a partial guarantee of $200K on Johnson’s contract has been pushed back from September 4 to October 19, when the regular season begins, according to Lewis.
If Love gets brought out I’m sure there’s about 5 teams interested and with a chance.
Lakers cause of LeBron, the Nets cause of Kyrie, Portland cause it’s his home and Dame, TWolves need a PF and it’s original team and GSW for another ring.
For some reason I think Portland due to Dame and what Portland has riding on this season with Danes trade request, but I first thought lakers/nets as well because that’s where I think every ex all star that gets bought out goes(which is fine, bucks win the title without Drummond and Griffin)
Kevin Love is from Portland too, he has said so often he loves Portland and it’s his home town.
Basketball wise I think he would be a solid fit too. He and Nance can share the 4 spot, he can spend some minutes at the 5 in small ball line ups too. Portland also only have 13 on the roster and need 14 minimum.
Also be interested to see LaMarcus Aldridge possibly making a return too. I think that’s more of a long shot and he would more than likely go to LA. Another wildcard I’d love to see come back Shabazz Napier. Loves him coming off the bench and I think they lack a back up than can run an offence like him.
when did dame ask for a trade parx?
He asked sometime in secret. Shhh
Blazers have Nance now too, and Covington & Collins. It would be a forehead-slapper for Nance if they went after Love too.
Not Collins. Catch up
Olshey giving up on Zach C, amazing! It never did actually work for long there.
I guess when I saw, Spurs going after Collins, I thought, they wish. (John)
If Brooklyn wants him, Brooklyn will get him
You are right
Love will be 33 years old next week
He is too young for Lakers
This might be your best comment ever tbh
Reflect : it bcoz sillyman was drunk
Hope portland get love.it ll raise their chance to go to playoff.so bulls will get their 1st round next season
I kinda hope the bulls acquire Hartenstein for our 14th player, we need another big man available off the bench and I believe AK and him have a history together
I hope it will be aldridge or millsap.we got aldridge in the draft day but too bad…u know the story
If Love gets released, he’s going to the Lakers. He’s from LA, and is close to Bron. I’m sure LBJ is already recruiting him.
He also played with Westbrook at UCLA
He was born in the LA area (Santa Monica), but he grew up in the Portland area (Lake Oswego) and he considers that home.
DeAndre was recruited to play with his buddies and basically contributed almost nothing to the Nets success other than to tell jokes that Durant thought were funny.
He also played some really horrible D against Giannis.
bucks lucky nets got injured lol bucks fans talking big now
That’s why bob myers hasn’t used the mle yet. So he can pay a little more for buyouts. It was the only smart thing he’s done in the past 2 off seasons
You people make me roar with laughter. The NY Post? Bwahaaahhaa..

As many have been saying Love has expressed his desire to wear the Portland uniform as recently as a May 2021 interview if not even later than that.
I’d prefer to see him with LeBron as they are both amazing passers and I’d like to see a team run a point forward concept.
Love is gone to lakers bet
Hartenstein is a good backup big
