Lakers star LeBron James has been fined $15K for making an obscene gesture on the court, the league announced (Twitter link).
The incident occurred at the end of the fourth quarter during the team’s overtime win against Indiana on Nov. 24. He was also warned for using profanity during his post-game availability in response to his one-game suspension.
In a separate tweet, the league also announced that Trail Blazers forward Robert Covington was fined $15K for throwing his face mask at a referee.
The incident took place in the second quarter of the team’s loss against Sacramento on Nov. 24. Covington received a technical and was ejected from the game.
LeBron starting to get frustrated by realizing this Lakers roster has zero chance at a championship?
No he’s just frustrated that he’s finally getting held accountable for his antics and not as untouchable as he once thought.
It can be both. Lakers got lucky in the Orlando bubble.
They lost lost to the Kings – at home. Lakers are unraveling.
Lost 5 out of the last 8 games
I know I can attempt to decipher it from RealGM, I think their layout is trash. But what assets do the Lakers have left to make a deal? Russ has so far amounted to .1 Vorp and -1.3 BPM. I don’t know who, but someone bottom feeding will take him for the right amount of assets. Heck could be Houston or OKC.
LBJ window is closing by the day, and honestly a team anchored by AD isn’t doing much. Win Now Mode and figure out the future later.
Win now was keeping Caruso and losing the extra $10M per year in penalties.
Half measures was giving up half a roster for a $45M Westbrook and then punting on Caruso.
More imaginative would have been sticking with original Derozan trade and retaining Caruso which would have been a lower combined salary than Westbrook alone. And you have cost less in the original trade as well.
It’d would be pretty ironic but Wall would work.
The Lakers would be better off with Wall, but the Rockets aren’t taking back Westbrook. It’s funny how people tried to figure out who won the original trade involving those two. But it wasn’t until Russ was traded to LA that made it clear how the Wizards were the big winner when taking both trades into account. The Lakers are the big loser, while Houston is somewhere in between depending on what happens with Wall. Once he gets bought out eventually, that will give the Rockets more money to spend on extensions or possibly signing some mid-level free agents.
Hey man, I’m an OKC fan and Russ will only get better and better as the season progresses. You literally cannot ever count out LeBron and Co. (whomever might be accompanying him in a particular year) It’s just silly
Until he craters in the playoffs, right?
How exactly will Russ get better as the season progresses? Last season he had more triple-doubles than the Wizards had wins. So clearly stats mean more to him than winning. He is the NBA’s all-time leader in triple-doubles and that’s all that Russell Westbrook will ever be remembered for. It’s a completely meaningless achievement.

No wonder LBJ is frustrated with the refereeing this year, it is atrocious, the worst I have ever seen!
For all the LBJ, Russ, AD & LAL haters, which sadly enough seem to be the majority around here… don’t get your lil girlie panties too much twisted, LAL are doing just fine, Russ is playing pretty good & will only get better, LBJ is just starting to get his rhythm & AD is playing at MVP level, but he will get better as well!
LAL will be in the fight for the Finals, WC is getting weaker by the year, so they will be in no trouble to get very far in the playoffs, their biggest threats are all in the EC, BRK & MIL!
Golden State will win the West and I say the Nets in the East and Golden State as Champions, and King James become a jester as he should be!
LBJ is not getting his touch fouls and is whining more than Tim Duncan (which I didn’t think was possible). For a dude who so desperately wants to crown himself the GOAT, he needs to act like a pro, shut up and play. See Kahwii for tips
Damn wasn’t aware Kawhi was playing….must have missed that article
tips on load management
In what way is “AD is playing at MVP level”?
LOL !!
LeChina is such a great role model.
Court Jester LeBron James is working hard to destroy his reputation & if he is that frustrated then maybe he should go ahead & retire
