Clippers offseason acquisition Eric Bledsoe has heated up over the past three games, averaging 18.7 points and 5.0 assists on 52.4% shooting. The veteran point guard is feeling more at ease with his new teammates, Mirjam Swanson of the Orange County Register writes.
“They just told me to just play my game, go out there and play my game. Don’t worry about the mistakes, that comes with it,” he said. “They welcomed me with open arms and so it’s been pretty fun through the struggles, just got to keep it going.”
Bledsoe’s $19.375MM salary for next season is not guaranteed and it’s likely he’ll be a free agent.
We have more on the Western Conference:
- The Warriors view Jonathan Kuminga, the No. 7 overall pick, as a defensive weapon in the short run and a potential two-way centerpiece in the future, according to Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic. Kuminga has played a total of 26 minutes off the bench the last two games. “I have no doubt in my mind that he can check just about anybody,” Draymond Green said.
- Even with De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton in their backcourt, the Kings need to find another play-maker, James Ham of The Kings Beat opines. Rookie Davion Mitchell, Buddy Hield and Harrison Barnes are not suited for that role when both Fox and Haliburton are off the court, in Ham’s viewpoint, so Sacramento must go out and acquire another play-maker.
- Michael Porter Jr. remains sidelined on Monday due to lower back pain and there’s uncertainty about the Nuggets’ forward’s status in the near future, Harrison Wind of DNVR Sports tweets. “It’s an ongoing thing, trying to figure out what’s going on…I’d still say that Michael’s out for the foreseeable future,” coach Michael Malone said. “We’re trying to take it one day at a time with him and see what the best way to approach getting him back healthy is.”
Kings could bring Haliburton off the Bench and move Hield back into the Starting lineup. Or move Davion into the starting lineup.
I had to read that part twice to make sure I wasn’t missing something. As you said the answer is fairly obvious. The Kings acquiring another guard seems insane to me.
It doesn’t matter
3 teams need to make big trade right away
Blazers
Kings
Wolves
It would be too late next week
It’s sad to see situations like MPJr. The team showed their commitment to him and it’ll likely blow back on them. That’s why I never completely take the players side when it comes to demanding trades. Owners pay the cost to be the boss. It may suck when a player is traded from a team they’d prefer to stay but the flip side is their contracts are usually guaranteed and if that player suffers a debilitating injury they can rest somewhat easier knowing they are still getting paid in full.
Just don’t forget that players are the show & yes they make millions, owners don’t do anything & make billions, so seems that paying their pocket change for an injured player once in a while ain’t gonna hurt them at all, just will give them a tax break, so they still win, right?
Kuminga is basically Kawhi lol GSW are going to dom the West the next 5+ years again, lmao
There is a HUGE difference between where Kawhi started in the league and Kuminga. Kawhi had 70 college games at SDSU on a very good team under a very good coach. Kawhi’s third year in the league he was the Finals MVP. Then followed that with consecutive DPOY’s. Those are HOF accomplishments. I believe Kuminga has great potential but he is far from Kawhi’s equal. Pump the brakes a bit on your optimism. I am certainly rooting for JK and hope he does half as well as The Claw. Yes in five years we could be looking at a very special player and potential Finals appearances.
Go Dubs!
Calm down buddy, let me live with a take. It will either be right or wrong. Dont you ever tell me what I can and cant say though!
Like who tf are you to tell me how optimistic I can be? Seriously??? Get over yourself. Go Dubs!
Marty, I am calm, reasonable and realistic. How are you doing? I would not dream of telling you what you can or can’t say. But I can comment on your ‘take’ and can disagree with you. Why are you so sensitive about your ‘take’? I hope Kuminga develops into the elite player Kawhi is now, but to say Kuminga is basically Kawhi is borderline delusional. And you tell me to get over myself?
Go ahead Marty McKush fire up another one.
And Go Dubs!
According to Marty, both Poole and Kuminga are already Hall of Fame players who will be among the best in the league for years.
Don’t forget Damion “The Next KD” Lee
Kuminga is a man child. It’s kind of freakish how physically strong he already is at 19.
Says the guy who didn’t want Kuminga LOL
You’re a sitcom …..
Really want to see Warriors with Wiseman and Kuminga getting rotation mins. I said it from beginning they would make an impact. And they are not winning anything without them.
Marty’s ten times the homer you are, and that’s saying a lot. He’s deranged.
You calling anyone a homer is rich.
I agree with you that without a decent contribution from Wiseman, the Warriors are not winning anything like a championship. When the Dubs go up against the teams with elite centers like Embiid, Jokic, Gobert, etc., they will need Wiseman.
I think the roster is deep enough to play well without important contributions from Kuminga and Moody this year. I hope those guys get playing time and continue to develop into quality NBA players, but I do not think their contributions are required for success this year.
Wiseman & Kuminga rarely see the court on an 11-2 team. If they become crucial, there’s a problem.
Without Klay they still need someone to run the show & get buckets when Curry is not on the court… Kuminga and Wiseman need a guy who Can go at the rim and throw the ball to them on backdoor cuts.
All of you are homers so there take that
