Jazz forward Joe Ingles will undergo an MRI on his injured left knee on Monday, according to Adrian Wojnrarowski of ESPN (Twitter link). Wojnarowski adds (via Twitter) that the team fears he has suffered a significant injury.
Ingles’ left knee buckled during the club’s game against Minnesota on Sunday. He was helped off the floor after recording two rebounds and three assists in just over 12 minutes.
The Jazz are already playing without Donovan Mitchell (concussion), Rudy Gobert (calf) and Trent Forrest (ankle). The team also lost head coach Quin Snyder and forward Danuel House to protocols on Sunday. Utah is 30-20 on the season and 2-8 in its last 10 games.
Ingles has played a regular rotation role for the Jazz this season, averaging 7.4 points and 2.9 rebounds in 25.2 minutes per game. He’s started in 14 of those 44 games to this point.
From what I watched
He is huge injury
It needs 1 First to send him out for a bench guy
Your haiku be strong.
From the replays alone, it doesn’t look good …….. the left knee buckled and his reaction, says it all.
Hope he recovers fast.
Well sorry to say, but that’s it for Joe Ingles. Such a fantastic player.., unselfish and great shooter and excellent Vision. Good size, wonderful Defender.
I remember against the Warriors a few years ago they put Joe Ingles on Klay Thompson and he really slowed him down from his averages. Good length and was able to keep up with Klay. Did a nice job.
I know the warriors were considering adding him but the cost was too much this offseason.
He’s already 34 and with this serious knee injury it looks like he might have to call it a career. Recovery of at least one year plus considering all the Rehab Etc, and it looks like several things popped in his knee not just his ACL. Haven’t heard yet just guessing of course.
Good career for a good guy. Was the last cut in training camp for the Clippers before he joined the Jazz for good. Doc Rivers said it was one of his toughest decisions ever. Probably the Aussie goat?
