Knicks star Julius Randle has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for the egregious use of profane language during media interviews, the league announced in a press release. Randle made his comments after the team’s practice on Wednesday and after the club’s game against Boston this week.
Randle originally said that he “doesn’t give a s–t” about the outside criticism the Knicks have faced this season, as relayed by Mark Sanchez of the New York Post. According to the New York Post’s Mark Berman, the second half of his remarks came when he explained why he gave a “thumbs down” to fans at Madison Square Garden on Thursday.
New York defeated Boston 108-105 in the contest, recording an important home win. For his part, Randle finished with 22 points, eight rebounds and two steals, shooting 8-of-20 from the floor and recording a plus-14 net rating. The two teams will meet again on Saturday night in Boston.
On the season, Randle has averaged 19.6 points, 10.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game. New York owns the 10th-best record in the East at 19-20.
Butt fumble man is writing for NY Post now?
Different butt fumbler
Today’s rumor
I like this idea
RJ, Burks and Walker for Ben Simmons
It helps 76ers to save $17 million luxury tax
That wouldn’t be good for either team.
Plus 76ers would be getting robbed!!!!
Jesus who’s running the front office, Tipper Gore?
Front office of what?
Tipper Gore is extremely relevant great pull here
What do modern day Knicks fans know about winning that gives them a reason to boo their team? Sure NY has had a slow start but this is still their best team in 20 years. You knickerbockers out there need to learn appreciate this group… I can relate it to Dodgers fans booing Kenley Jansen for a blown save in July and then wondering why the team fails in the postseason, usually at home. That negative energy casts a sense of doubt that lingers for the entire season… or a decade or two
Hope that incident turns Julius to a better version of himself
Randle leads the Knicks in scoring, rebounding, and ast. And he’s having an OK season. I think it shows why we are still under .500. My biggest criticism of Randle. Is I’m sick n tired of seeing him stop the ball. And think he’s Bron the Point forward. I’d rather see RJ at PG. Than to have Randle run the offense. This group of players need a pass first PG. Why is that so hard to see.
Haliburton was that guy. It makes me sick just thinking about the what could have been with this team. Gotta hope to get lucky in the draft for a similar player. Problem is they’re so few and far between.
This was a bad incident for Randle and the team, can you imagine D Rose doing this? Randle is a team leader and I wonder what happens internally when he has a problem with a teammate or coach.
