The Bulls have signed first-rounder Dalen Terry to his rookie scale contract, according to NBA.com’s transactions log.
Appearing in 37 games (all starts) during his sophomore season at Arizona in 2021/22, Terry averaged 8.0 PPG, 4.8 RPG, and 3.9 APG with a shooting line of .502/.364/.736 in 27.8 MPG. The 6’7″ guard also earned a spot on the Pac-12 All-Defensive team.
After declaring for the draft as an early entrant, Terry was selected 18th overall by the Bulls. His new contract will be worth $3.19MM in his rookie season and $15.45MM across four years, unless he accepts less than 120% of the rookie scale amount, which is extremely rare.
As our tracker of draft pick signings shows, Terry is the 26th first-rounder from last month’s draft to officially finalize his rookie contract. Dyson Daniels (Pelicans), Jeremy Sochan (Spurs), Malaki Branham (Spurs), and Walker Kessler (Jazz) haven’t yet put pen to paper, but there’s no reason to believe all four won’t sign soon.
Marquise Teaque 2.0. Terrible draft pick. Dude wasn’t even good in college
You keep on writing that over and over but I have more faith in the Front Office than you Johnny P…
The Front Office see something so I will give the kid two season before I make my judgement…
That’s your choice. I have no faith in a front office that has drafted poorly for years. And don’t give me Derrick rose because he was a consensus #1 and they lucked out in the lottery.
We’ve gone over this before. Butler, Rose, Laurie, Ayo, PAW. I can go on and on.
Terrible comp, Teague couldn’t shoot hot water, even if he drowned in Lake Michigan. Terry is young enough and has size and length to be a productive wing player. I think a better comp would be Tony Snell. You’re acting like he’s going to be expected to drop 15-20 PPG immediately. He can be brought along slowly and learn from Demar and other veterans. I actually like this pick because it went outside most mock drafts of Bulls taking a big. We also needed a guy who can create his own shot. He could be a Jamal Crawford given his size and if he improves his shooting, it’s a steal of a pick. Don’t listen to Radioheads, they don’t know Jack, and always try to brainwash listeners to gather ratings. That’s my advice to you.
If you can’t score in college sophomore year very doubtful you ever score in pros lol get a clue
I doubt Woww has any idea what Terry is like. That comp is no way. 6-7 vs listed 6-2.
You guys are talking to a guy in Bowww Wowww who should be in rehab. Or under anesthesia.
Lol I was comparing their skill set, I was comparing the fact that they were both awful draft picks. Dude couldn’t score in college and he was in his sophomore season. His 3% was trash as was his free throw %. He’s a guaranteed bust. He’s a defensive oriented player and if that’s the case he didnt need to be drafted that high as those guys usually don’t make an impact right away if at all. Trash pick. But hey you guys could have just said you don’t know sports. Would have saved you some time.
As if height was what I was referring to lol
You don’t know the player, never bothered to even look at highlights, yet you want to judge based on some irrelevant past from a different GM. Looking at stats is only part of the story.
Furthermore NBA 3pt% is best predicted from college stats by ft% not 3pt%. This kind of thing is known by people who follow the game.
Congrats, by being blockheaded, you learned something.
Y’all are defending a guy that went 8/5/4 in college on .502/.364/.736 in college. His sophomore year. Not even freshman. Those were his improved stats. Lmao the lack of common sense is alarming. Give him high volume of shots and those already paltry numbers go even lower
Do you realize he had NBA talent around him? They had a guy who went 6-7 in this years draft. Wtf do you expect him to do? By your statement then Jimmer was expected to set the world on fire given his “ability to score in college”. Anthony Davis was never a scorer in college and it took him to shoot and get his shot down. Get a clue.
Who said high volume of shots? Bulls just gave up half the farm for Lavine. He will be happy taking the shots, but someone else will have to do the hustle stuff.
Those figures you used are not bad… better than I thought they would be.
The game Bulls started out with is Terry’s game, too bad they didn’t have him when Caruso was injured.
BTW there’s no such thing as “improved stats”.
Watch an Arizona game so you’re informed.
