FEBRUARY 21: Beverley has officially signed a rest-of-season contract with the Bulls, according to the NBA transactions log.

The Bulls waived Tony Bradley to open up a roster spot for Beverley.
FEBRAURY 20: Point guard Patrick Beverley is expected to sign with the Bulls, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports (via Twitter).
The Bulls will have to open up a spot on their 15-man before adding Beverley.
Beverley was waived by the Magic on Feb. 12 after he was acquired in a trade with the Lakers. He had an expiring $13MM contract before working out a buyout arrangement with Orlando.
In 45 games for the Lakers, all starts, the 34-year-old posted averages of 6.4 PPG on .402/.348/.780, plus 3.1 RPG, 2.6 APG and 0.9 SPG.
Chicago has been seeking point guard help and had been in touch with Beverley’s representatives. Lonzo Ball hasn’t played in 2022/23 and will likely not return until next season. Ayo Dosunmu, Goran Dragic, Coby White and Alex Caruso have taken turns at the point guard but none have taken a stronghold on the starting job.
The Bulls entered the All-Star break with a disappointing 26-33 record. However, they’re still just two games behind the Raptors for the final play-in spot.
It’ll be a homecoming for Beverley, who grew up in Chicago.
Damn, wanted Miami to get him
Why so greedy bro?
You got Zeller. Way better than Bryant or that useless Muscala.
Didn’t realize Zeller was a point guard.
This why casuals shouldn’t be allowed to talk
I just explained to you on another thread that Reggie Jackson, the pg you wanted, is on the Nuggets, my casual friend.
This was me making fun of you for something entirely different.
Sorry,I will slow it down for you.
Haha dafuq? I said I wanted Beverly, you said they got Zeller. You need to slow it down for yourself cause you dont even know how to read your own comment. Hahaha
Yes,
That is what happened. I made fun of the Heat for signing a guy that isn’t a pg. Somehow that made you very confused.
You..I want Pat Beverly.
Me. Don’t cry…you signed Cody Zeller
You. Zeller isn’t a pg! AHAHAHAHAHHA
Me…holy fuq
Haha, you don’t even make sense. You do realize a team can have a need at more than one position, right? Hahaha.
Dude, him making fun of Zeller had nothing to do with Beverly.
Are you a real person? This isn’t complicated.
Delete your comments fast.
Yeah, I tried.
Haha, y’all a joke. Look at your comment then look at the title of the article fool. We talking about Beverly here. Dafuq wrong with you?
You’re my new lolcow.
That was amazing.
Thanks bro.
Get a room you two. The passion here is touching, but this is not the place for such PDA.
He’s not signing with the Bulls. An article in Chicago said he was signing with an Eastern Conference contender. So not the Bulls.
Curtisrowe why are you hiding
It’s great to see him go back home to the Chicago Bulls. I think he’s going to help out and try to get them in the playoffs. Patrick Beverley got to put up. He did a lot of talking to get to the Los Angeles Lakers but played horribly. Hopefully he can redeem himself with his hometown team. They desperately can use his defense because Nicola Vucevic DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine don’t play defense. I wouldn’t call any of them liabilities but they definitely all subpar.
Damn, wanted Golden State to get him
But, you didn’t get Zeller.
Bulls need his leadership. Great signing.
All he does is yell
and not as loud as he used to…
How about in the locker room and in practices?? He’s one of those guys that can communicate and get through fellow teammates. Probably future head coach.
If he can get the Bulls to the play in, he will deservedly grow his legend exponentially.
Teams don’t practice anymore, a walk through maybe but practices are a thing of the past.
Not sure it will help them all that much as Chicago seems to lack tons of chemistry. I don’t think Bev will help much except raise the defensive intensity.
Do i smell a play-in mvp?
Nobody cares about that play in crap
I doubt they even make the play in. They suck
Lol
I’m guessing they waived Dragic.
They probably will, so he should be able to find somewhere else by March 1.
Which team needs a Dragic? He going to find a spot with his buddy Luka? I will predict now Dragic gets into some friction with Kylie if he goes there.
*Kyrie
Kylie works
Not sure the Mavs have a spot on their roster for him, but Utah is still on the edge of the play-in and it’s on the clock to get back to 14 players from 12. Normally that’s a 2-week clock, but I’m not sure since they need to be prepared for the possibility that they might make the playoffs. They could convert 2-way contracts to standard ones by March 1 if they haven’t filled the slots by then. Personally, I think teams with any shot at the playoffs should fill all 15 standard slots by March 1. They could still have players continue to play in the G-League for playing time, but it’s important to be prepared with depth for the playoffs in case of injury.
looks like he wanted to go home rather than going for a ring
I am sure everyone would rather the chance to play in your home town than a ring, right?
Wishing he went to the Bucks to be honest.
Beverly Holiday Allen Middleton Crowder Portis Giannas BLopez that would’ve been a crazy rotation.
How we great move for the Bulls.
Beverly LaVine DeRozan Pat Will Vuce
Bev will help cover LaVine on defence and be a really good leader for them too. He’s got shooting ability but hasn’t shown it this season. Think Pat Will could really learn a lot from him same with Ayo. Could be a huge part in turning their season around but I think overall it’s to little to late amd next season he will be on another team Lonzo will start and they will get DRose for the bench ….
And the WARRIORS DO NOTHING! PATHETIC!!!
Well, a player Steve Kerr originally drafted when he was the GM in Phoenix could be available as a result of the Bulls signing Beverley. Dragic could be waived and could choose to join Kerr.
Beverly helps with the rotation. Not much of a passing PG, but he takes care of the Ball.
“Smoke & Mirrors” Beverley…
His agent is the real mvp
