Julius Randle practiced on a limited basis on Tuesday, giving the Knicks hope that he might play this weekend against Cleveland, Zach Braziller of the New York Post reports. Randle sprained his left ankle on March 29.
“He did some [work in practice]. Making steady progress. Taking it day-to-day,” Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said. “He’s doing some running, shooting, scripting, that sort of thing.”
We have more injury updates:
- Khris Middleton was not a full participant during the Bucks’ practice session on Tuesday but they’re hopeful he’ll be ready to go by the end of the week, Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Middleton tweaked his troublesome right knee last week. “He’ll do some individual work, get some weight room work and he’ll do more individual work (Wednesday) and then we’re anticipating and planning for him to practice on Thursday,” coach Mike Budenholzer said.
- Sixers swingman Danuel House Jr. didn’t practice on Tuesday due to a sore foot, but head coach Doc Rivers expects him to be available for Game 1 against Brooklyn, according to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer. “He hurt his foot in one of the (last) two games,” Rivers said. “But I think he will be OK.”
- Magic big man Jonathan Isaac underwent season-ending adductor surgery in early March. He expects to be at full strength by training camp, Khobi Price of the Orlando Sentinel reports. “This is really going to be the first summer I have to fully work,” Isaac said. “Every other summer I’ve been rehabbing trying to get back on to the court. So I’ll be hopefully in the next few weeks be a full go. And doing everything I need to do to have a healthy next season.”
The Bucks are really going to struggle 8f Middleton can’t play to his standards…
He really hasn’t played much this year, and they’ve learned to win with several different rotations, which is a good thing. I suspect he’d be playing if these were meaningful games, and he’s going to have to play through some nagging pain in the playoffs. The further along they get, however, the more they’ll need him. I don’t know how many minutes we can expect out of him though.
Having Crowder and Ingles available along with the uptick in offensive production from both Holiday and Lopez should all help fill the void.
This doesn’t belong here, but dang Lakers are playing some serious D on the TWolves…
Pelinka should win executive of the year award…
LBJ put him in a giant hole with demanding the Westbrook trade, and somehow Pelinka managed to collect together enough solid talent with hardly ANY assets whatsoever!!!
Gotta give it to LBJ too, he was actually turning up on D towards the end of the game..Made a couple of costly turnovers late, but that 3 was something serious!!
Then, the play to hit Schroeder for the open 3 was purely vintage LBJ..
Honestly, I feel kinda bad for Amthony Edwards. I know his shoulder is clearly bothering him, but I hope he doesn’t let this poor offensive night get the best of him.
If they lose he will still have a chance to redeem himself, and for his own sake and sanity I hope he does. Dude is one of the up and coming studs in today’s NBA, I’d hate to see him go out with two poor performances in a row.
And huge 3 for Hachi in OT to set the tone and give the Lakers the lead, but Jesus stop turning the ball over lol…
LBJ lucky his late two turnovers haven’t cost the Lakers…Gotta be more careful than that as a 20 year vet, if the Wolves would have capitalized that would have cost them..
Lakers collective team excellent defense has bailed out their turnovers and poor shooting stretches…
Also, props to Conley for a very solid game, those 3 clutch free throws with all the pressure in the world on him, those steals, etc. He balled out, and single-handedly kept the Wolves afloat late when Prince ran out of magic, and the Lakers locked it down..
