With the 2023/24 NBA regular season around the corner, we’re getting serious about predictions for the upcoming campaign and continuing an annual Hoops Rumors tradition.
With the help of the lines from a series of sports betting sites – including Bovada and BetOnline – we’re running through the predicted win totals for each of the NBA’s 30 teams, by division. In a series of team-by-team polls, you’ll get the chance to weigh in on whether you think those forecasts are too optimistic or too pessimistic.
In 2022/23, our voters went 16-14 on their over/under picks. Can you top that in ’23/24?
We’ll wrap up our series today with the Atlantic Division…

I don’t see Harden coming back to Sixers. Have to take Clipper offer. Sixers getting expiring contracts for him. So they can still reload next yr in FA. Plus they will have extra pick (s). So it will be tough to get 50 wins.
Celtics – are primed for a good year. After last yrs disappointing loss to Heat. And getting two top players with something to prove. Definitely winning more than 56 gms.
Raptors – going thru changes. And it seems to me. This yr they will finally make trades. Trades we’ve been hearing about for last two yrs. Time to retool. Get a lottery pick. Going under 37 gms.
Nets – I have always liked Ben. Just not at PG. He’s a SF or a PF. That’s where he will do most damage to teams. Nets with the real Ben. And I see a big yr from Mikal “Brooklyn Bridges”. Nets definitely winning more than 37 wins. This is the Easy bet.
My Knickerbockers – This ain’t Isiah’s Knicks!!!! We are definitely winning more than 46 gms. Knicks are a year older. And come in expecting success. There is still a BIG trade to be made. Has to be this year. With the right trade. I can see the East Finals. Love my Knicks …….
Boston – under
Philly – under
NY – under
Brooklyn – under
Toronto – over
(note on Toronto making trades ergo going under… which seems to be what Vegas is baking into the line… but they don’t own their 1st round pick in this year’s draft – it’s top 6 protected – and their front office seems to value winning and overvalue their own players… easy money on the over with them, as it has been 8 out of the last 10 years, I believe.)
